My idea of reward is receiving rewards not by some minute RNG of checking every possible box barrel during hundreds of hours of leveling for a daedric/ancient elf motif, but by actually playing the game's challenging content.
Exploration actually does nothing in the game. I can open 20 master difficulty chests in a row and find inside them a single green item and an unfilled soul gem. So much for rewarding exploration.

Motifs, I have almost all of the common ones on three characters, the highest level being 34.
I do not farm gold, so mainly have green gear i've crafted or gotten as a drop. but i can pretty much kill everying i need to so far (noting that I haven't gotten to vet ranks yet).
Everything I've gotten has come from playing the game. Exploring, finding chests and treasure maps, etc. So, if you can expand out a bit, you might get more of the rewards you seek.
Motifs aren't purple/gold power rewards. They are visual rewards that affect how you present your character in the world.
And when those motifs are tied to a minuscule RNG drop of checking the same barrels that yield trash materials, and coming across a heavy sack that yield a BONE or some common racial trash ore, it's pretty disheartening when the way to acquire those motifs is to farm 100k+ gold because they saw fit to nerf drop rates because they designed a stupid way to acquire those goods to begin with that was easily exploitable.
Please don't tell others how to play a game when your highest level toon is 34. You obviously have no idea what veteran rank progression is or the amount of exploration and questing it entails (you virtually need to do ALL the quests and dungeons of each campaign and zone completion with bosses and anchors since mob kills award little to no xp, so you need to quest and explore to reach max veteran rank).

Point taken. I have yet to see a rare motif, and in fact, haven't seen a motif at all since I moved to Veteran content. I get the whole frustration with missing out on the early "advantages" realized by other players. When I see someone selling stacks of Legendary mats x 100, I try not to be judgemental and I assume they got them legitimately. When I read where someone in another thread bragging about their "stack" of rare motifs that are taking up their bank space, I'll just assume they are trolling.
I guess the only reason I replied at all was I just wanted to defend ESO and say that, in my opinion, there are actually great rewards in adventuring/questing/exploring. They just aren't material rewards. If this is by design, and that design dooms ESO, then so be it. In the meantime, I have really enjoyed my adventure, in spite of the bots and bugs.

I don't dislike tha game. That's a mistake many people who reply make.
Sometimes we criticize a game because we want to make it even better than it is.
The questing is great. The RP is great. The world is beautiful. But some gameplay elements, especially after being done with Coldharbour, become rather lacking.
