When last I checked, I have played ESO for over 6 days of game time after having it for around 2 weeks. And I am loving every single minute of it. Thank you to the development team for giving me so much fun!
Sure, there are bugs, bots and idiots - and yes, the product has a slightly under-baked quality to it right now. But to me that is a good thing. Because now I - and all of you - have the opportunity to help shape the game to be the game we want it to be, rather than have to wait another 6 months or a year to have a game that is the realization of someone else's vision.
It helps that I am the type of gamer who looks to excel at a rules system as it is rather than adjust a game to suit my particular gaming style. But I find it fascinating that despite my best efforts my enchanting is only at level 13, my clothing at 30 and my provisioning is already at 50. How do I do I up my enchanting? What do I have to do? I love the process of exploring, and figuring out the game, and adapting my game play to suit.
I also love that the motif drops have been nerfed. Now I will be rewarded for obsessively opening every single container just to see what is inside. When you run through the dungeon or town without opening a single thing, you'll have to pay me when i find that primal motif you want so badly so that you can experience not one single in-game advantage at all.
There are lots of things that I think can be improved in this game. But I like the foundation elements of the game I am playing, and I am having fun. I have faith, based on what I have seen so far, that this development team is going to make changes, try things out, and improve the game over time - with our help and participation.
To over-extend my metaphor from above: It may be a half-baked game, but I'm enjoying watching the cooking process.
So thank you to the dev team. Keep up the good work.

Mercenaries of the Queen - because if you can't have fun while playing a game, what's the point?
