"Dungeon Chest Changes
Chests within instances have undergone two changes:
Shared Chests – Each player in the group whose character is within 50 meters of the chest when it is unlocked will get an individual roll on the chest.
Reduced Number of Chests – Since each chest yields rewards for all group members, we have reduced the number of chests in instances to two total. Each instance will always have two chests in then, but the location of these two chests will be random within the dungeon.
These changes do not affect chests that appear in public spaces, only those within instances."

I love the fixes. However, please say that you did not overlook the fact that the chests never drop level appropriate stuff in veteran ranks.
From what i read everyone gets to share in Non level appropriate gear to make inventory full of unwanted stuff.

    this is yet another case of the genuine nice players being punished because of the few.Pretty much every dungeon i have done so far the chests have been shared out equally by the group allowing in most dungeons 4-5 chests per player . now because of the chest ninjas this has been reduced to 2 (why when there are 4 players). The boss nerf was bad enough a much better fix for that would have been to make the boss loot unique same as world bosses. why are zenimax punishing the good to hurt the few ?

    No one is being punished. Now everyone will get at least two chest items per run. This will make runs much faster as the group will only have to wait on two chests being open.

    like the OP I have read and reread the patch notes and can not see any fixes for the Vet chests dropping vet lvl loot instead of the current loot set at the normal dungeon level.
    Magic is impressive but now Minsc leads SWORDS FOR EVERYONE!!

    I just did Banished Cells last night with my lvl 15 DK, I was concentrating on tanking, my party was busy eying treasure chests. As soon as the mobs were dead, they would dash to the chests and open them.

    This would of bothered me in a VR dungeon, because they would of had loot in them I would of wanted. Level 12 dungeon? Meh, have at it.

    So I welcome this change for the Vet zones, it encourages people to stick together rather then ninja hopping from chest to chest.

    This thread was posted by myself to address the fact that at V10 i'm receiving level gear from the chests that i could get in normal dungeons. Currently (last night) Vet chests are more then useless and a waste of a 0 gold lock-pick. I'm trying to find out if this was fixed in this recent patch, as the patch notes do not say anything about this issue. Any developers that could comment ?
