Fix The Poll. Add more options to the poll.
Something like Researching Addon that tells me "Hey out of the 40 items in your bank-inventory, you have researched this one, have duplicates of that one are researching this one and you need more of these" is not a combat enhancement addon which for my primary example PVE or PVP Is what this poll comes down too. As developers I would like to believe that it's obvious what addons are detrimental to the game and which are not. This is combat if I out played little Timmy then he got rolled and needs to up his game, if little Timmy has an addon that enhances his Pvpness and he beats me, that's obviously not what the game was designed for.
I quit PvEing in WoW because you needed an addon which told you to stand here for this long at this time and where to go next and when and why and for how long all the while some officer is talking in my headphones telling everyone what to do when to do it and how and why-or don't come to our raid ... it's so old an exhausting to have my hand held in a game where we are supposed to escape from rules and boundaries and guidelines to explore fantasy and have a fun time and some addons I think we all know which ones contribute to the nullification of those experiences.
With that said, does zenimax really care if addons are here, or just a food for fodder question? The game has no content <I come from Everquest, Born in the Velious Expansion> Talk about a game with content and a world diverse. I'm not mad, just stating the obvious, I like the crosshairs and combat mixtures availability, but developers keep putting so much pressure on themselves with these games, RIFT, TERA, ESO Come to mind immediately games with great ideas, built to sell not to last..progression gets annihilated in a matter of a millisecond in the gamescape of an MMOs pre-expected life expectancy and then theyre on the ropes trying to feed the deranged zombies blurting out scary sounds....you get it.
Should Add-ons Be Allowed is a horribly generic and generalized question.
