Why increase the level cap already? Nobody even asked for this? I don't get it... Annoying.

I've never seen an MMO increase the level cap so quickly after launch, and I don't understand it?

Casual players aren't even VR10 yet, and there are currently no "really sweet raid gear" available yet... So why increase the cap? Why not just keep it at VR10 for now and add more gear to raid for, new motifs, things to that effect.

It actually upsets me. If you're anything like me, you enjoy being max level and putting effort into finding/creating awesome, unique gear.

A year from now? Cool, add more levels... But 1.5 months after launch? Wtf?

Who was even asking for this? Is there even a single person on the forums who made a thread sayin "Increase the level cap please!"..?

Paul Sage told IGN "I think any plan like that can be disrupted if something unforeseen happens. But right now we have the second update lined up and ready to go onto the PTS [Public Test Server] once we launch Craglorn, and that’s coming soon.

"That’ll be the Veteran Dungeon, Crypt of Hearts."

Nah, bud... They said several times that they'd be putting these kind of updates out every 4-6 weeks.

I just pray that the level cap doesn't go up every 4-6 weeks.. Like I said in my OP, please just leave the cap alone and give us new/better gear to strive for and things of that sort...

I do not think the level cap will increase for at least a few content additions after Crag, They did need a way to separate it from standard VR content though.

@Avidus They could have made the Mobs VR12... But That doesn't mean that the cap/gear needs to increase w/ it.

They already leaked V13-V15 in Grouping Tools video, so next update in 5-7 weeks with another level increase sounds possible.

They probably need to consider freezing the VR cap increases for quite some time and adding alternate progression as well as lots of bug fixes.

We need other ways to advance in the current level ranges, as well as a much more fleshed out AvA progression tree that takes significantly longer to complete (See DAoC's Realm Rank).

    Wider base, not higher peak.

@Darrett I completely agree... I don't understand why they seem to think the community wants steadily increasing level caps already. That actually the furthest thing from what I want. And I know I'm not alone in this. As I asked earlier, i want to know where they are getting the idea to do this from? We don't want continuous leveling content, we want END-GAME content. Which like I mentioned earlier as well, the NPC enemies can be VR12, but that doesn't mean that they need to increase the player levels to match. It's incredibly annoying.

Save the level cap raises for 10-12 months down the road... What are you thinking, Zenimax?

I suppose you could somewhat justify it to say. Some like PvP, some like PvE endgame.
But there are those who like levelling. SO I guess by adding this Endgame type PvE content, they are adding a sort of end game levelling content.

Um, because Zenimax is a real MMO game developer that DEVELOPS the game.

Or havnt you noticed that every single MMO that has been released without a future plan in place, have failed?

And why do you think you have to be max veteran level the SECOND they relese a new content? Its still there....no one gonna take it from you?

Developing a MMO doesn't mean adding new levels every month and a half, it means making the currently available level cap more diverse THEN several months down the road adding levels.

If you keep adding levels, you're not adding end-game, you're doing the opposite - prolonging it.

The game is 1/3 level 1-50, 1/3 level VR1-VR5, 1/3 level VR6-VR10. Essentially the game has 150 levels already in that sense... Enough is enough.
