    Players are fighting other players.
    Player vs player.

I think some structured PvP would be nice but AvA is PvP.

If you don't like zergs, then don't participate in them, simple as that. It really isn't that hard to find good 1v1 situations in Cyrodiil.

You can find endless 1v1 and 3v3 small skirmish and ambush fights everywhere as long as you dont follow the zerg. You can wait at any road or path that leads from teh enemies supply line port keep and kill enemy players trying to get to the zergs or keep seiges.

You just have to look at the map and know where to go. This game doesnt hold your hand and set up a 1v1 fight for you. You have to go and find it. Since the map i so big and everyone can use sneak, it is easy to avoid teh zerg.

Cyrodiil is essentially open world PvP with some AvA goals placed all over it. Like it or not, that is PvP.

Its true, ESO PvP is like an open world alternative but no competitive PvP. If they don't plan to add other forms of PvP at some point I think free to play is not so far away.

^This. Nothing is set in stone. You aren't in completely predictable situations. You must adapt to your surroundings. You may encounter one or both other alliances in a fight. The unpredictable nature of a 3 way open world environment brings much more than a scripted XvX fight that some people call "competitive"

I dare say that Cyrodiil is competetive PvP, but just not "MLG 1337 Pr0 Competetive", if you understand what I'm trying to say.

The OP either want arena combat which is a perfectly legal wish, or he wants to be able to grief pve'ers which he should never be allowed to.

The problem with Cyrodiil atm is that there are no real chokepoints that works for small group pvp. In daoc you had the emain gates in old frontier and in new frontier you had the front islands near the landing spots and their bridges.

Cyrodiil is just one big landmass with multiple routes to anywhere, combine this with how slow people move here compared mto daoc and small group encounters become extremely rare.

If you can't find choking points and enforce small skirmishes you either haven't put enough thought into it, or you are just really not paying attention to the map's layout.

There's several gates and bridges that you can occupy when there's a siege nearby, or, as already mentioned before, cut off reinforcements the smart way.

There are so many choke points its unbelievable.
There are 3 main large group choke points, the gates/bridge between alliance territory, there are several smaller choke points most are made from the landscape, designed to funnel people to use certain paths you can actually cause a lot of trouble quite easily, but these choke points are more vulnerable.

Putting in anymore choke points is a good way of strangling the zone.

Did someone say "no choke points"...?
Yes it is open world, but the terrain and even structures such as gates and bridges create said "choke points" all over the map. Press the "M" key and find an enemy keep.. then look for the nearest keep that is yours and poof.. Travel that path between the two and often you will see so many spots you can almost cry... I often choose ones near a cliff, so I have a possible escape route when in dire need.

I'd be all for the option of an open world pvp server..

If you don't want to get ganked running quests don't play on that server.

That is not happening. Not without major changes, and a serious amount of time and effort. From the very unsuccessful pvp servers in DAoC(where some devs come from), as well as most other games that have it... I would bet a large sum of money, that you will never see it in ESO.

Yeah PvP servers are easier on games that are actually big like WoW.

I'm sure I've done every quest on the dominon. I doubt I have done every horde quest yet.

lol I ran out of current content in WoW after playing it for a little over a month(from 1-90). What I have to do when I log in: Do 1 raid a week. Do a couple bosses a week that i teleport to. And .... Do instanced PvP that is horrible.

The dungeons are a joke, and faceroll easy even for freshly leveled.

From a game that is so highly talked about.. there is really VERY little current content. Only reason I played is because my wife likes it. And this is at the END of an expansion cycle... when there should be the most current content.

Ugh.. Why am I talking about wow :(

I have to disagree being in a very hardcore guild myself.
Suicide is zerging like a maniac without planning.

All Cyrodiil is Zerg without plan ... Its like Ping-Pong u takeone keep enemy take another and after 1000 keeps taked its boring as hell, no challenge u cannot look at the enemy eyes and just solo it because just behind him its 200 enemy yes u can sometimes but very rare find one guy and fight with him but what is point for that this give nothing to my team. I want ranking of best killers of another players not ranking vs killing PVE ant take empty keeps.
