Vampire Race Matter?

If you are thinking about playing a Vampire does race really matter? Like would it for example be better to be a Vampire Sorcerer as an Altmer, Bretton, or Dunmer. I would think Dunmer at first but can you make up for the 4% damage bonus that Altmer get or make up for the 3% reduction in Magika costs that a Breton get. Guess I am wondering is can any race make a good Vampire.

The race you choose will not make or break your vampire, no. There are some racial skills that go well with it though, yes.

Race don't matter. But I think being a dunmer would be a greater benefit with there fire resistance? yes? :P

Not necessarily greater benefit. It would just allow you to gear less for fire resist and into something else. Doesn't make them better, just different.

Dunmer gives fire resistance, which helps against the weakness to fire.

Breton gets a Magicks pool increase, reduced Migic cost and spell resistance, the magicka increase and reduced magic cost will help with the Vampire abilities.

Orc gets a health and stamina boost, and a health regeneration boost.

Nord gets a health regeneration boost plus an armour boost.

Argonians get a health boost, a boost to healing received.

Altmer get a boost to the Magicka pool and magicka recovery.

Bosmer get a boost to stealth.

Khajiit get a boost to stealth and health regeneration

Imperial gets a boost to health.

My instincts say Dunmer, Breton or Orc are the best to go for, but I wouldn't ignore Argonian or Khajiit either.

Ahh.. I thought this was an actual vamp race. I am sad now
