ESO might actually be the best TES game

I think OP has a point as long as you only consider vanilla games.

I take a (heavily) modded Oblivion or Skyrim over ESO anytime, though.

That’s what I have heard about mods for the single player games, that quests are added and lots of stuff. On PS though, once you’ve done everything the base game has to offer, you’re done. You can walk round and enjoy the scenery, fight the same mobs, but that’s about it.

    PS has its downsides!

In this case it does. I have played a lot of other games that PC players can never play though, like Uncharted, God of War, and many other wonderful Sony exclusives.

I’m just sad they decided to backtrack and exclude us from TESVI. It won’t make me buy a MS product, though.

It would have been had it not been for the crown store.

The game being designed to funnel the player to the crown store is a hard immersion breaker. The implementation of super strobe mounts and certain outfits makes it even worse.

TESO has grown on me a heck of a lot but it isn't the best in the series. It is better than Oblivion though and we can agree on that. I know a lot of people who love Oblivion though but it jusy never nabbed me. Daggerfall would be the best but when I finally got to play it the game was heavily dated. Same with Arena which was unplayable until I found a guide online since there is neither a map nor a way to ender the anti-cheat code without it. Funny that the free download of Arena from Bethesda needed the anti-cheat code still.

Yeah, TESO is good and probably the best MMO outside a MUD. I wish there was an Elder Scrolls MUD that would be dope! I could play with my blind friends then but like no one codes them anymore. I occasionally drop in on one of the ones that still exist and hammer out a dungeon or area every now and again but there are very few of us who still like a good old text scroller. It is sad because there is a large sight impaired community who still play MUDs and when there is a new one out they all overload some poor person's private server hosting their game built for like 20 people max. So, outside a MUD with some solid RPers like Sundering Shadows or Legends of the Jedi TESO is the best MMO.
