PC NA is what's tanking. Everyone in Cyrodiil is complaining and confirming that it started on Monday August 31. ZOS flipped a switch and performance took a dive.

Thats because you're having a massive increase in groups using python scripts linked with addons and cmx.
I'd argue alot of the performance issues we face today in Cyro are because of third party programs/scripts running linking groups.
There is a reason why you "feel" certain groups before you see them. There is a reason why you feel no lag when it's 50v50 but the second "certain groups" show up the server dies.
This is the conversation we need to be having - the rampit script kiddies in Cyrodiil right now across all servers. The cheating in PvP is at an all time high and no one wants to talk about it.

I don't think this is the source of the issues though, performance has still been pretty bad for all of us. It just eliminated the crashing and alleviated the problem.

Except the issue is happening in PVE, as well. Performance everywhere has gone down, not just in Cyro.

It wasn’t a patch. “Server Maintenance” generally means little more than a power cycle.

Ah, another typical "im not having issues so no one else possibly can be having issues" response from you.
There has been very well documented issues in pve.

My response is true to my experience and I never once said others aren't having issues just because I'm not. But I rarely have similar issues when I see these types of threads, most of which point to Cyrodiil.
Not long ago there was a thread about losing connection in loading screens which I was experiencing and gave my feedback for. So I do sometimes experience the same issues as others and provide my feedback.

Cyrodiil is just where the performance issues of the game are most apparent, same as how addons can exacerbate the bad experience. It doesn't mean necessarily that addons are the main reason they're happening, I think Vengeance proves that isn't true.
Neither does you not playing Cyro and not experiencing issues mean Cyrodiil is the problem either.
Whatever ZOS did on last Monday's maintenance was a step backward. Performance, latency and fps both, have been utterly unacceptable since Monday. Please revert whatever changes ZOS made last Monday. It was a mistake. If ya'll can make changes that negatively impact performance like this then ZOS can make changes that have a positive impact too.

Our vLC raid group that runs late due to people on different time zones (midnight-2am EST) recently hasn't been able to get through a prog night without multiple disconnections. Everyone in the group agrees that the performance has gotten way worse in the last 2 weeks or so. We were fighting the Cavot boss a few nights ago and literally like four of the group members crashed within 5-10 seconds of each other.
It's been pretty reminiscent of what was happening when the servers kept getting DDOSed a year or two back.
