Stop Balancing ESO Around Group Size

The group size shield nerf will ONLY affect ballgroups.
Other big groups can do their normal thing.

Ehhh, debatable. Random pugs won’t feel this a whole lot since most pugs aren’t really running strict, comped our meta builds or a dedicated shield bot like ballgroups run. This chant will absolutely affect the ballgroups and small scale comped groups that stay stacked and rely on shields

I haven’t ever run in a dedicated ball group before, but I agree with this. It’s probably like when I was running in a prog trials group in PvE, as a dps I didn’t slot heals or shields because the healers and tanks provided those. It was my job to slot the best dps skills for the most damage. If you are in a pug group in Cyrodiil, you have to provide your own heals and shields so your damage will not be as great and/or you will not be as tanky. You can’t assume someone else will provide that.

Absolutely balance against group size.

On second thought, crank it up even more.

The average pug group, or even the average group of friends who aren't min/maxing, won't ever run into the caps that are being set for these groups.. not even close. So go even harder so it hurts the top 5% even more and balances the game a bit.

You're pretty spot on. I've ran in a few pugs before and it's really just "bring whatever you're on" type of group. You might have a healer or two and a few people running their own shields but other than that you won't really get what you're going to see in ball groups

No it wont. The overwhelming majority of groups, even friends in coms, are not min/maxed to the extreme where they will be hitthing these caps.

There is a very isolated group of individuals who will be affected by this change - the exact group who are killing pvp.

Double down on this change @ZOS_Kevin
