Maintenance for the week of September 7:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – September 7

Enemy players should not be able to live indefinitely inside a captured keep.

I don’t know about guards having stealth detection, as a player you have a few options for this. Once you expose them, the guards will attack. If the enemy players attack the guards, they will have to expose themselves too.

Yes, even a good player can be killed by guards if you aggro enough of them. They need to be more than just decorative.

You want the NPCs to fight players for you so you don't have to? That’s not in the spirit of the game.

No one is forcing you to chase a few tower trolls around. Just leave them and go somewhere else. If you can't kill them just let them have it.
Or, bring more pressure next time.

If it’s not in the spirit of the game, why are the NPC guards there to begin with? I’ve seen players get killed by guards with no input from other players whatsoever. Should they get do-overs because it’s not in the spirit of the game?

At the very least, guards should have stealth detection. The problem isn’t about tower trolls who are there to run. It’s about the people who hide in a corner for 20 minutes, then come out to harass defenders and burn siege when their alliance attacks the keep. Or steal the scroll and zoom away when no one is anywhere near it to get it back.

Except, that is all fair play in the game. It might be aggravating for the defenders, but it's part of the overall design. I might not enjoy chasing after (and getting repeatedly killed by) one or two "unkillable" players who are running around a keep-- whether they're stealthed or not-- but they're not doing anything "wrong" or engaging in an exploit. Seasoned players will usually pop detect potions and run around keeps thoroughly looking for enemies in hiding after capturing a keep or defending it. It's part of the normal procedure, like repairing the walls and doors. Unfortunately, a lot of players just want to flip any resources that need to be flipped, then race off to the next keep, because they're more interested in trying to score large amounts of AP.
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!
