Hoping watching dev eyes see this.
The latest iteration balance warrior really don't feel great, with the reduced armor to spell damage scaling very weak, and the actual gain in stats is going to be some extra armor in the end, while also pigeonholing us into having to slot templar abilities.
I think in the end a simple 12% spell damage and armor would be the best, no scaling for slotting templar skills or anything, just a simple passive boost to stats.

All that was needed from the get.

No. It has to be complex and convoluted and result in a buff for some and nerf to others. That way it can look "interesting" while pigeonholing everyone.

But that would be too powerful! Attack and defense should not be connected like that, esp. with dodge which is already one of the most powerful mechanics in this game in PvP thanks to DoT damage virtually disappearing (and nearly all direct damage being dodgeable).

Do you know how powerful it is to have defense just tacked on when you do damage without sacrificing anything besides a subclassed skill line you don't need because your class has nearly everything?

Are you seriously trying to advocate for NBs to become literal godmode while on the offense!? What an insane request!

No! It would simply be too powerful! But wait, what does that say about the thing you are comparing it to...?

Oops...Uh, well...Sorc is special! Sorcs have been victimized for a very very long time. Sorcs don't have bar space! Sorcs are different! Sorcs are unique! Please understand. Please...?

Cutthroat's Focus: Activating a Nightblade ability grants "Cutthroat's Focus." Consuming "Cutthroat's Focus" to brace allows you to dodge attacks for 0.3 seconds.

Instead of activating a Nightblade ability while blocking, activate a Nightblade ability and then brace.
What do you think about this change?

I really don't see the point of converting one defensive action to another to be honest, even in the live version.
Just make it give dodge chance, or maybe each stack can remove one stack of dodge fatigue(might be too strong but tbh mirage isnt)

    Yes...that seems balanced.

[inner "pro" Sorc wakes up] WARNING: THREAT DETECTED TO SORC DOMINANCE.

NO. NOT BALANCED. What if the NB uses Lefthander's Aegis!? Do you know how powerful that mythic is already on live NB? If they could sustain more rolling then...!

This is giga busted btw, you could very easily dodge with 100% upkeep if they allowed this one lol

    Cutthroat's Focus

I would ideally like to see it being automatic, the less workload you have, the more you can focus on other stuff and even then it would probably be too weak.

I'm also fine with the idea of it being tied to a stack system as suggested: Casting NB skills gives you a stack of Cutthroats Focus up to 12. Bracing removes a stack and makes you dodge for 0.333 seconds, activating brace while the dodge effect is in place will add to the remaining duration (again in order to make it simpler)

Bashing with more than 10 stacks removes all stacks and gives you 500 weapon damage and 10% life steal on crittical hits for 10 seconds.

So overall, 12 seconds of casting on gcd would allow you up to 4 seconds of breathing room on demand and a more offensive option that would be useable by brawlers and not gankers.

What's the point of the wolf rework if you nerf it so heavily after just 3 months?

Another suggestion for Sorcerer Werewolf DPS in -->PVE<-- is to make Font of Power work for WW too. I seriously don't understand the lack of care for limiting the NEW gameplay in PVE to only one class and role because PVPers whine the loudest. I thought we were past that years ago.
Praying to Alkosh and Khenarthi that Sorcerer rework gives more build variety

Armor becoming Templar's only identity is not really a good idea in pvp in this onslaught meta. One button completely deletes everything the templar has

Armor becoming Templar's only identity is not really a good idea in pvp in this onslaught meta. One button completely deletes everything the templar has

It's a bad idea at any point in the game because stacking armor is useless except for one playstyle in the game.

They've said they didn't want to do a rework and are doing exactly that, except the results is an inferior version of Templar compared to live except maybe if and only if...

To even pretend it's equivalent is insulting. Why the hell would I want to be forced to run class skills on Templar that suck just for weapon and spell damage and some useless armor when rolling is superior in every way in the first place?

Haha, no. Had that passive done something to fix the god-awful sustain on the Templar class then we might make some concessions. Instead it gives two useless stats that work on opposite ends of each other, and not in a reliable fashion.

To build armor, I must lose damage or sustain on Templar. That's reality. And if not there, then my stat pools will take a hit. The class is not DK and it's not Sorc.; every addition to a build results in a subtraction somewhere, and that subtraction for this passive is more than it's worth.

Eseentially they've made the skill lines for Dawn's Wrath and Aedric Spear -- two lines that already sucked because the skills themselves in it are unreliable and terribly designed when considering this current patch, worthless to slot.

The masteries are also not worth keeping IMO, if it means holding two lines and removing flexibility from builds and cutting into sustain/resources so you can be an inferior version of yourself pre-patch and gain some armor that makes no real difference in any combat scenario.

Pure class Templar, which is barely serviceable due to gimmicks (Class Masteries) that will probably be nerfed 1 patch after this one, is absolute trash after the changes -- not that it wasn't before and not that I expected any different after TBH.

And they want to sell this as a buff? Making a class and it's stats less reliable, forcing it to be pigeonholed into building a certain way to make use of a passive that didn't need that before, and lowering and cutting areas that could be specialized into previously or performance is lost is considered a BUFF by ZOS? And no other class has to use such a convoluted system?

You have got to kidding me. What do they consider a nerf then? Oh wait, I know what they consider a nerf. The minor adjustments to Sorc/DK that do nothing to address the core problems in reality. That's a nerf. But if we talk Templar and the other classes a nerf is completely trashing a skill/passive, which is exactly what's happened here.

But let's keep pretending the changes are a buff. It's so interesting and innovative to be nerfed and call it a buff. I haven't seen this script before.

Regarding this: "Proc based (effects that trigger from another effect, such as item sets, passives or status effects) attacks no longer benefit from Sneak's bonus damage or guaranteed critical strike. They also no longer benefit from Shadowy Disguises guaranteed critical strike. These changes also mean that proc-based attacks should no longer inconsistently remove Sneak or Invisibility."

Absolutely sublime. After testing it a bit and making sure it works for my setup, all I can say is that this is brilliant. I have waited years for this. Really happy about that.
