Nightblade skills update

I know nightblades won't get their refresh anytime soon, so I got bored and started thinking about what changes could be made to make some of the neglected skills more competitive in the current pvp setting.

Would love to hear what ideas other people have come up with

Cripple: Sap an enemy's agility and wrack them with pain, dealing "X" Magic Damage over 20 seconds and reducing their Movement Speed by 30% for 5 seconds. While granting you minor expedition.

Debilitate morph: Now refunds 100% of its cost if the full duration finishes without being cleansed. If the target cleanses it early, it deals the remainder of its damage as a one time burst and the cost is not refunded. You can have multiple debilitates active at a time.

Crippling grasp morph: immobilizes the target on impact and the DoT damage ramps up every second tick, up to 50% extra by the end of it. Additionally, the first time a target affected by crippling grasp attempts to roll dodge while the ability is active, the tendrils reach out, reapplying the immobilize before the roll dodge activates. You can only have one crippling grasp active at a time.

Mark target: Expose an enemy's weaknesses by applying Major Breach to them, reducing Physical Resistance and Spell Resistance by 5948 and critical resistance by 300 for 20 seconds. When a marked enemy dies, you heal to full Health and gain minor heroism for 5 seconds. You can only have one Mark Target active at a time.

Piercing mark morph: Increased duration by 10 seconds and your nightblade abilities ignore 15% of your marked target's armor. Additionally, those affected by your mark are unable to turn invisible or enter stealth for 10 seconds following being marked.

Reapers mark morph: Applies Major Breach. If the target dies, you heal to full and gain major berserk for 10 seconds and minor heroism for 5 seconds. Additionally if the target dies while still affected by the mark, reduces the next cast of reapers mark to 0.

Summon shade: Summon a spectral assassin to fight by your side for 30 seconds. Each attack from the shade applies minor cowardice and minor brittle.

Shadow image morph: the spectral assassin is now stationary and attacks from ranged. Recasting the ability will now teleport you to the summoned shade leaving behind a spectral aspect. This bursts after 1 second snaring all enemies hit by 40% and applying major brittle for 5 seconds.

Dark shade morph: Summon 2 shades to fight by your side, in addition to the base effect, when actively blocking, you swap forms with the shades, making you unable to be targeted by effects for 5 seconds. Swapping forms with the shades makes them fully corporal and able to be targeted by attacks, once the effect ends or the shades die you return to your original form. Ground based effects will still affect you in your shaded form.

It's hard to come up with anything because the class is in an "either-or" state regards to power, defense, and balance. ZOS is the one that pushed it to this level after ignoring years of feedback from players.

What is certain is that the class lacks any real defensive capability outside cloak. I'd also say healing is subpar compared to other options, at least in the HoT department though that is also a case where it's true and yet not true at the same time because it depends on the build you are running.

I'd also say Shadow skill line sucks. Really. The ultimate is a joke beyond it's name.

Lastly, the masteries are useless to the point that I don't need to slot them at all. In reality they provide no measurable change in combat, except if you use them in a buggy build that we won't talk about because we will be using it to punish sorcs next patch since ZOS won't nerf Streak.

Cool and flavorful ideas. Of course a bit on the strong side, but these days it is hard to tell where to draw the line.
Your forgot one thing though: "The Shade uses your characters model."
I will go to war if that isn't part of the update.

Yeah, it's difficult because so many skills are just loaded with "in addition" "also" its tough to decide when enough is enough hah.
