Yeah, I'm pretty sure I found the same location on PSNA. There are a few resource node spawn locations nearby, but nothing right on the spot I was looking at. Would be interesting to learn what it is all the same.

Pretty sure that can only happen if your game client is "there" to witness it when it happens. Phantom residue from visual effects typically aren't a server side phenomenon as it's a result of the client not properly dismissing a visual effect. In this particular case the server is telling the client "there is something there to render" because it manifested before the client was there to witness its creation.
