So everyone, what opinion on classes do you have?

Like what do you believe is good and bad for every class?

For me:
Dks: While powerful are mainly stuck to melee ranged but do need several nerfs especially in pvp
Sorcs: pets need a buff and only to take one bar instead of 2 so its actually useful
Nightblade: Needs a bit of resource sustainability when out of stealth
Templars: Needs more offensive and not a stand your ground situation
Wardens: Need the rework
Necromancers: Needs better class identity
Arcanists: Portals need to be able to cross gaps like sorcs streak.
I am dark strife. Khajiit since arena... ya know when they were humans... with face paint... still khajiit only all games...

    for me its..

Dks: OP in Pvp and need nerfs as they are power creepin
Sorcs: Also Op and needs nerfs but is gaslighting everyone by blaming Dk for being stronger
Nightblade: Needs their battle spirit restrictions on their class masteries removed (Seriously, its ridiculous they are so handcuffed)
    Templars: Make jabs great again
Wardens: I don't play tree huggers
Necromancers: Needs the rework the most
Arcanists: needs to not be so tied to beams I guess? Worst class currently, needs buffs in pvp.

That’s a can of worms opened. 1 post and it’s already turning into another sorc hate thread.

Not really, but they do deserve it. You're turning it into a sorc thread by focusing on it lol

How about we stop nerfing a class everytime somebody feels there class is not the OP. Bring all classes up and stop the insanity.

Melee range classes like nb and dk should hit harder than ranged classes, or more specifically ranged skills unless ultimates shouldn’t hit as hard as melee skills. This is because they already have a massive advantage of being ranged skills. Buff nightblade, revert stealth changes

DK and werewolf should remain unnerfed

Templar and Sorc are natural counters to DK, especially Templar historically and should be the next class buffed with class masteries so there’s a natural way to balance the meta against DK that doesn’t involve nerfs. There should be some level of rock paper scissors to PvP and there used to be. Sorc doesn’t need a buff but they can have the current one if dk and werewolf get reverted.

Necromancer and Warden obviously need buffs just in general

    Arcanist was a flashy mistake

I don't care about builds, just about having fun. So for me:

    Warden: Fun! Really fun!
    Templar: Sort of fun!
    Everything else: Meh.

NC: breath of fresh air in the past, WW dogfood roasted by DK today
WD: best healers in the past, WW dogfood roasted by DK today
AC: too powerful in the past, still somewhat is, but WW dogfood roasted by DK today
DK: good tank in the past, absolute beast today, but eaten by WW raw

    Opinions and rankings:

Templar: My favorite class. Jabs is the best spammable in the game. This kit has so many fun skills - big burst heals, ground AOEs, Luminous Spear, Piercing Javelin. It's fluid, straight-forward, and consistent.

Dragonknight: It climbed my rankings following the refresh. It's just so good. It's so visceral. I love that I can play heal dps, the support kit finally feels playable.

Arcanist: It took me time, but I've really grown to love the class. Not the biggest fan of the theme, but the kit is fun to play. I really like healing on these guys, and beam is amazing. It's very analogous to the templar.

Warden: My old main. I'll always love Wardens. Right now, I love the idea more than the implementation. They're quite fun healing, mostly because of Enchanted Forest; it's overall a fun support kit. I also like them as an archer build. But, the kit is inconsistent feeling overall, there's just too many ideas packed into one class. While it can be fun, that allure's faded over time for me.

Sorcerer. Now we're getting into the class I largely don't enjoy. These guys have some fun skills, but like the Warden, the kit feels quite disjointed. It feels married to the pets for any real ease-of-use or viability, which themselves are quite intrusive. Dark Magic does have some fun skills, but they're line overall isn't strong enough. Now, crystal frags is a fun spammable, but the rest of that line doesn't support it. Storm Calling has great passives, especially in the subclassing context, and fun skills. It's just a shame there's no real spammable here.

Necromancer. They're tied for my least favorite class. It's not that I hate them. It's just too clunky to regularly enjoy. They're fun - at times. They've got some fun skills, especially when it comes to healing, but overall desperately in need of a refresh.

Nightblade. They're just too ephemeral for me. There's inklings of some good ideas. I like approaching them as a blood mage, but that has to share space with being a shadow mage and assassin. Like so many classes, they put in different themes to allow for diversity but the kit doesn't support it in many cases. The themes are locked into specific roles, which can be limiting.

This. Theres so many players who dont consider people could choose a class or want to use subclassing bc they think its just fun, instead of being the best damaging class combo. Like DK might be the top damage class or whatever, but to me it doesnt feel fun to play, so I never play my DKs. Warden and Sorc, Templar and NB, those are fun classes in my opinion. Arc and Necro are interesting too, but only when I subclass their skills out.

Too samey. Hope the class refreshes gives some identity back to them.

I personally don't think they should be giving any huge nerfs to reworked classes until the refreshes are finished and instead use class mastery to buff stuff to the same level. But that's just me.
