Hi All. We are following up on the end of Cyrodiil Campaign rewards for July. During Monday's maintenance, we rectified this by awarding campaign awards to anyone who gained AP in the month of July. The list of rewards is as follows:
  • 19,500 gold
  • Purple-quality transmutation Geode
  • Champions Cache with 5 set pieces
  • 20 Cyrodiil Repair Kits

Thanks for your patience as we resolved this issue.

Hi Kevin, Vengeance has clearly lost a noticeable number of players after experiencing the 5th bonus sets. That period felt like a dopamine overload, builds were more dynamic, fights were faster, and 1vXing felt rewarding. Now that it’s gone, the current version of Vengeance feels significantly slower and, honestly, boring in comparison.

Going on a 6-month stretch without sets is going to hurt the campaign. The contrast is too big, and once players get used to that level of engagement, it’s hard to keep them interested with a stripped-down version.

I’m saying this after playing Vengeance every single day for the past month, the difference in player excitement and retention is very noticeable.

Please bring back 5th piece bonuses and we will keep buying ESO+ for the mythics too.

If you want to play with sets there is Grey Host. If you don't want to play with sets, there is vengeance.

Vengeance isn't lacking in participation because of sets or no sets. It's not popular with PvP players and PvE players won't keep it going just as we've always said would happen. ZOS would be smart to listen to the player feedback about this but it doesn't seem that they are.

I like Vengeance specifically for the fact that it provides a very similar base level for everyone. You can swap some skills to account for your play style, but everything else is the same and dependent on player skill. I didn't really participate in that 5-piece-test because it again introduces build decisions that I don't want to make and don't find particularly interesting or enjoyable.

Also, yes, Vengeance lost players after the test - because during the test, it was the only campaign available. D'uh.
Generally, though, player numbers are usually conjured up out of thin air.
