Naj Caldeesh

armyveterab2012
Who else believes that Naj caldeesh dungon needs to be nerfed because it seems like even on normal its way to difficult, cause whenever I get it in random dungon ques everyone leaves that dungon including players that are maxed level in the game because its so difficult even on normal. I could see putting the difficulty of the dungon as it is now as a veteran dungon but as it stands no one ever does that dungon because of it being so difficult even on normal difficulty. Let me know your thoughts on nah caldeesh dungon.

It's not "too" difficult in itself on normal, but I understand that it feels difficult on normal compared to most other dungeons on normal.

I’ve soloed it all the way to the end where someone from my guild had to help me with the last boss because it was so tedious trying to do it by myself. And one of the other bosses has some mechanics that make it very tedious to do it by yourself as well, but I slogged through that one. I don’t plan to ever solo again in its present state, and I too have been in random groups that when this dungeon came up, people just automatically left. Hopefully it will be added to the list of solo dungeons one day so I can experience it again.

In my personal opinion, the primary difficulty with soloing it is that you need someone else to help you get past the pressure plates at the very beginning, then they need to remain in the group with you the entire time so you don't get kicked from the instance.

I hope it gets added as a solo dungeon as well primarily for this reason -- what an annoying mechanic.

As far as the difficulty goes, I agree it is significantly harder than other normal dungeons, for no apparent reason. I do not have a problem with the difficulty in itself, but it should probably be brought in line with the others for consistency's sake, so people do not immediately leave when it is an RND.

    (Edit for semantics.)

You can easily start the dungeon solo with either Streak from Sorc or Elusive Mist/Blood Mist from Vampire.

Imo Voskrona Poxito is stupid. Pools should not make her imune, but just stronger (enraged, whatever)

I dont know how i got a no death here with a pug in the second dungeon urgalarg cycle, while trying fang lair, graven deep or lep seclusa took many tries (manages only fang lair so far, but still...

Aside from Zelvrakk with his stupid amount of mechanics overall, i think Naj is the current hardest dungeon.

It was definitely the most difficult one for me to solo. Did not have an issue with the pressure plates at the start since my main is a sorc, so I just used Streak.

The first boss took forever because of the need to take care of all the adds. The second one was the real challenge for me, I almost gave up. But the final one turned out to be the easiest from the lot for some reason for me.

Thanks, but this does not work if you don't want to subclass a specific skill line or become a vampire.

It’s not difficult if you know the mechanics and if there’s a proper tank in the group, along with some healing and synergies. With tank and healer you can do it even with non experienced players without any problems.

But I agree that it can turn into a disaster with inexperienced players and 4 dps runs. I’ve experienced this myself many times, and I’m by no means an inexperienced player.

It’s crucial to pay close attention to the boss mechanics.

Unfortunately, communication problems often arise. You write tips in the chat and get ignored. After a wipe, players just leave the group.
But that’s not the dungeon’s problem. It’s the players who just don’t have any patience these days.

Make your own group and run the dungeon without randoms. Google the boss mechanics first. There are plenty of guides.

You’ll see that it’s not that hard at all. Once you have finished it a couple of times on normal you are even ready to try it on vet.

Btw, I don’t find comments like “I easily cleared the dungeon solo” particularly helpful.

Great dungeon. Let's leave it alone.

That sounds as if you don't like to play mechanics? Just tank and spank?

Kill the adds away from Poxito, so she can't stand in the pools. Taunt and/or chains and/or leash help here

Zelvrakk is at least some challenge, and again, playing the mechanics is key.

Personally I still consider Graven Deep to be more difficult than NC, based on the fact that Veteran NC can be soloed and Graven Deep can't be soloed on veteran.

    Edit for typo

Thanks, but this does not work if you don't want to subclass a specific skill line or become a vampire.

It's your right to play with a self-imposed handicap. Just want to point out that your first post with:

"The primary difficulty with soloing it is that you need someone else to help you get past the pressure plates at the very beginning, then they need to remain in the group with you the entire time so you don't get kicked from the instance."

    is simply not correct.

There is only a problem if you are not a sorc and insisting on not subclassing/not playing vampire.

At least for the beginning of the dungeon someone might consider using the armory once to gain access to a necessary skill and than return to the original build.

Don’t need the armory, can use the free in-UI respec.

I'm one of those pugs that will nope out if this is my random daily. I just think it's not fun, so I wouldn't go in there even if it's nerfed.
