I've done all 3 of these a couple of times so far and never heard an NPC saying that or sniffing.

Things like these really make me wish ESO would "borrow" Lord of the Rings Online sound filter which allows you to filter out any sound from the game.

We do have audio settings where we can choose how loud certain sounds are, that we can turn all the way down to zero.

Every time I get anywhere near the Freerunner's Post in Stonefalls and Glenumbra, there's an NPC nearby saying this. It's driving me nuts, specially since I have to hear her say this at least 4 times a day, with that annoyingly loud and wet SNIIIIIIIIF. It's so annoying that I've started muting the game whenever I get near the posts. The khajiit one in Auridon talks just as often, but at least he doesn't sniff loudly at you.

So please, I'm asking you to tone down the frequency with which they talk to you, or at least make them not say that if you're already a werewolf.

For some reason the addon doesn't register these npcs for me :(

Approche them so that there is a dialog line in chat. Then you can mute them.eyqjmr2j7u33.png

Oh, yes; I have wished for this very thing, too! LotRO's entire filter system is really quite nice and I would love to have that level of control for this game as well.

    These dialogues are so annoying!
And thanks whoever recommended an addon to mute the NPCs. I'll try that tomorrow.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to register them at all - in chat or in the addon, no matter how close I am. Must be bugged for me?

Yeah, tried it earlier today, his dialogue doesn't register.

Thanks for the technical explanation. I really hope the devs can use this information to deal with them.

If it doesn't happen on the U51 PTS, I'll definitely be linking this in there so they can see the data.

I managed to do this by logging off in front of him and logging back in. I muted him and yet he still says it every time I go anywhere near him. I'm thinking the mod is struggling with it. I muted the NPC saying 'Fate needs you proxy' successfully, but not these werewolf/vampire NPC's.
RIP Atherton, my beautiful little gentle friend, my Shining Light. I will miss you forever. Without you I am a hollow shell.

I wonder if it is because of the daily quest marker assigned over their heads. I can get them muted for one day, but the next day they are right back to annoying me. If I take the quest, they don't bother me for the rest of that day but then they start up again the next day. I can get them in the addon for one day, but they are right back at it 24 hours later. Whatever the reason, it has caused me to turn off sound when I do the freerunner quests.

This is definitely getting annoying...to the point that I'm confident this is intentional.

Why isn't the Freerunner for Auridon in Vulkhel. Why isn't Glenumbra's in Daggerfall. Or Stonefall's in Davon's?

They intentionally put these new quest givers; dailies no less. In the same area where the Werewolf quest giver is. Knowing those NPCs' audio file would be triggered every. single. time. the player went to pick up the Freerunner quest or collect the reward.
You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.

Ebonhart is actually the quietest one, and has the character closest to the freerunner board. The ones in Aldcroft and Skywatch are much, much worse, especially given that they trigger at extreme range and out of line of sight..

The opposite is true for me. The Ebonheart one is the only one I see and hear, and it's faint.

And they play even if you are already a vampire or werewolf. Maybe they should make the recruiters permankillable for people in werewolf or vampire form.

Even though these aren't a problem for me I wonder why they have to have NPCs recruit in the first place. If a player wants to be a Vampire or a Werewolf they will figure out how to do it. We don't need constant reminders every time we come within proximity to one of these NPCs.

It would be ideal to just do away with NPC recruiters all together. But at the very least let us reply that we are not interested and have that dismiss any future interaction.

Players shouldn't have to adjust volume levels repeatedly to avoid annoying NPCs' dialog.

Please ZOS, just put muzzles on Leane Luseph and Zalig, or better yet remove them entirely from the game. They serve no purpose except to annoy players.

They are all bugged. They start screaming right into your ear whenever you enter the quest marker range (100m). And with no cd! You can try enabling range on compass and going out and back in range. Absolutely unhinged
