Combine Fighter's Guild & Mage's Guild (Hybridize Them)

Since Warriors and Magic Users are all hybridized and every hayseed 2h sword brawler is now instantly a fully-powered sorcerer, and vice versa, the game should adjust and combine the Mage's Guild and Fighter's Guilds. While these two classic Elder Scrolls entities used to play a clear role in Elder Scrolls games where there was a clear distinction between mages and fighters, ESO has abandoned these clear, and obvious distinctions with hybridization. As ESO continues down the path of 'finalizing' hybridization, one of those things should be to combine the Mage's and Fighter's Guilds as they no longer serve any meaningful purpose in the Elder Scrolls Online game world.

that will also never likely happen, because of elder scrolls lore

the mages guild and fighters guild have always been entirely separate entities

if you really want things changed so drastically, i would suggest just playing a different game lol

So if we pair a male Fighter with a female Mage, what will their child be? A battle mage, maybe?

Less hybridization, absolutely NO more hybridization!
Elder Scrolls Online must remain what it historically is, not change its soul.

I completely agree with @Rishikesa108 here.
Less hybridization, please. Hybridization might have freed up build options, but it has completely stripped classes of their unique identity.
When every character ends up using the exact same weapons and skills just to chase the meta, the game loses its RPG soul. We need distinct boundaries between archetypes, not a blend where everything feels the same.

I get what you're saying. Hybridization has destroyed class and mag/stam identity, but I'd prefer to keep these separate, both in skill lines and NPC guilds, because they're unique entities. Even if hybridization eventually leads to their skills using the same or mixed resources pools, I don't want to see the skill lines or guilds merged.

This does not even make sense. A fighter's guild and a mage's guild is two very separate entities. What's next, combine the Fighter/Mage guild combo with a thief's guild since anyone can use a dagger and sneak?

I assume this is about the skill lines? Because they are two totally separate entities (with a long history in TES) with their own major base game storylines and roles in many other storylines - not something I'd like to see removed. But if it's the skill lines then I mean, we could always use skills from both skill lines, it's always been like that. It's a solution in search of a problem.

The Fighters and Mages Guilds are different organizations lore wise, and will remain as such as shown by Elder Scrolls games that take place later in the timeline.

You can also be any faction as any race, why not just merge all of them together? The Lore, and there's nothing in the lore that I know of that says ONLY Magic users are part of the Guild and vice versa, in fact, it would be more realistic if they had their own enforcers and mages so they don't have to rely on each other, the Battlemage is a good example, that archetype can fit both "Mage Guild Enforcer" and "Fighters Guild Magic User"

ESO is already one of the most "loose" MMOs I've ever played where you can pretty much be anything, any faction, any class wearing any armor, using any abilities, you can be a Nord Dominion Member and a Daedra Summoner with Necromacy subclassed in, there's no reason to go changing the lore and Worldbuilding because of hybridization which is purely gameplay

Isn't Bards College a Skyrim-only thing? Though you could definitely take this in some interesting directions, maybe Instruments as weapons? Or a Merchants Guild that lets players act as traders? Maybe a quest you have to complete for a guild to get your master certification to do master writs, just something to add some immersion

Guild of Millers! True Nord bread for true Nords!

Two out of the six guilds we can join now are stealth oriented, and the FG and Undaunted are basically the same thing (Combat-oriented) I'd love to have something like a Treasurer's Guild where we go out and look for rare items ala House of Orsimer Glories or something more espionage focused, like with the new dialogue system where we can flirt and stuff with the npcs, give us something like a joinable Thalmor

The artifact hunting one might already be covered by the Mages Guild? but then again, just invent a new "Guild of Redeeming" or something that go around hunting down Daedric artifacts and destroying them
