Dynamic events are anything but dynamic, please create timer or shorten time between events

These dynamic events couldn't be more ironically named. Stuff has to be happening for something to be considered dynamic. Sitting around and waiting for up to and sometimes more than 30 minutes for an "event" that last maybe 5 minutes is seriously bad game design. Standing around for up to 30 minutes to do one of these things is not a substitute for content. It's just a mind numbing waste of time.

We need to have some way of tracking these events like we had with the night market main fight timers or we need the time between these events to be 10 or 15 minutes, not 30.

Standing around and waiting for content we have to do to get specific items for quests and achievements is just a lesson in frustration that people will not participate in much if at all.

Please do something to make these events more tolerable.

Agreed. I've only done one Dynamic Event. It was so boring that I'm not doing any more of them. Such a disappointment.

Absolutely, it's shocking that it went live like this. They've been given feedback time and time again that people don't like standing around waiting for stuff to spawn (events and tome tasks that make people gather at a specific wb or delve boss for example), but they doubled down on it with encounters. Standing around doing nothing is not content and speaking for myself at least, it frequently makes me log out and play something more fun with the time I have available for gaming.

I never thought that, while playing a video game, I would have to find something else to do at the same time for up to 30 minutes to keep from getting bored.

I don’t know if I am going to do these DEs anymore unless the devs come on here and say the drop rates of everything are going up. I didn’t do any today. I have not been doing as many of these as most, but they are still just wasting my time. I get a couple of pieces of gear to decon for the whole effort. No Granny, that wasn’t worth the trouble of waiting for 30 minutes to clear fetid “Herbs” and viper eels and trying to fight enemies I can’t even see because of all the players, combat pets, and companions in the same small area.

LOL I feel this, it's already gotten to the point where I'm regularly playing another game on my second screen or watching a movie while waiting for an encounter to start... and in the end I miss the encounter anyway because I'm actually enjoying whatever else I'm doing and I forget about eso entirely.

I've already stopped doing them except if I have 4+ tome challenges with it. Otherwise, it's a skip for me until I do.

There's no universe I will be sitting around NOT playing a game and baking in the summer heat when I can turn my AC on instead.

    Nope.

I've been trying to do some work on my second screen, but I keep having to check if the event's started and lose concentration.

So instead, while I'm standing around strumming my lute, I sometimes make up new lyrics to the songs I'm playing. So far I've got:

    Wait, wait! For events, wait!
Just wait, ye Breton sons and daughters.
Snore, snore, half an hour more!
So much boredom in this game.

Over the seas we all come to wait,
For Daisy and Gran we can't be late.
The devs' command has sealed our fate,
Over the seas to stand and wait.

    Wait, wait, wait!
I do it morning until late.
I thought a timer would be feasible.
I'll soon be bored and that's quite probable.

I've only got two more waiting sessions dynamic events to go to get all the achievements, but I might try 'Red Diamonds' next.

It's a tradition, or an old charter, or something...

Dynamic encounters should've been like the Night Market events that showed a counter. The encounter should've been just as hard with stronger mobs, bosses and mechanics. It was great dying so many time while the 2 groups worked to get the mechanics down. That was chaos and fun. I've done 1 encounter just be luck to see it on the map one day. So far I haven't had the patience to wait at one location. That's just a waste of anyone's time.
