Do i also switch instance when moving to another zone?

Dumb question but i have started rotating the 3 dynamic encounter zones to try to catch one of them... do i stay in the same instance when i do that? or do i switch to a different instance whenever i use a wayshrine to a different zone (which would make this completely pointless).

Each zone is its own instance.

If you port from Stonefalls to Deshaan to Stonefalls you may or may not end up in the original Stonefalls you were in. For the most part you likely will, as there is a delay in populating instances, but something like a disconnect or quit has a greater chance of you logging back into a different instance of Stonefalls.

Go to the spot where everyone is waiting for the DE to begin. Try previewing a house that is in the zone that the DE is in. Once you exit the house it puts you right back where you were before. Note the players around you before and after. I saw about 3-4 different instances when I did this.

I did notice while waiting for an encounter to spawn, I went to guild house and back to encounter and it was all different people standing around. Probably added another 30 minute wait lol.
