The devs know that the Thieves Guild Finder quests are "not working as intended" (I prefer "bugged," but am being tactful here). The 8 quests, repeatable 3 times, was too many and is being addressed in a future update. Of the two quests which can count as Finder quests, one counts and the other doesn't (also a known issue, hopefully to be addressed in a future update). Considering that a next week's challenges are on the imminent horizon, would it be too much to ask that we not be charged a reroll for trying to get rid of this challenge? Removing it from the pool entirely would also work and probably an easier fix, but the whole idea of "use a reroll token ("pay us") to get rid of a quest which is bugged (sorry) "not working as intended" strikes me as just a bit much.
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

You will not need to re-roll it.

Weekly challenge quests reset every week giving you 5 new ones, however, if you have any that you have not finished they will just hang out in your list as well ( up to a max of 12 total quests ). This means that you can take multiple weeks to complete these quests without missing out on getting the 5 new ones on each reset.

It is rough that it is not working as inteded right now but it will not have an impact on your next week

I think their point is - They don't Want that option anymore because its bugged. They don't want to keep it and it Won't go away when the next weeks activate. And since it is bugged, it should not cost the use of a reroll that might be needed for something else.

I dumped mine using one of the rerolls and got something nice and reliable (pledges). Happily I'll still be going into the next week with enough rerolls so that my rerolls will reset to 12. I get your point though - would have been happy to do the finder task - if it worked properly.

Relating to that same task, where is the 'Finder' board? There is, of course, none and it required extra clarification to figure out what qualifies as a 'finder' quest. Seems like it simply should have told us in the task to do reacquisition quests at either Hews Bane or Daggerfall TGs. . . then of course, it should have also worked properly. A big part of the reason I dumped the task is because it was not clear what it was or what it required (poor instructions).

Personally, I'd rather not have to expend rerolls to get rid of problematic stuff. I will gripe and grumble about rerolls for those blasted Trials, Battlegrounds, Keeps, and other stuff that I don't do, but which keep popping up on subsequent rerolls ("no means no"), but that's different from something which I can do and is not working as intended.

I have eight characters on my main account, so I CAN complete the whole thing in one week (probably will since I have one repetition left to go and it's new stuff tomorrow). But consider the player with one character (like my EU toons). One quest per day times 8 days, times 3 repetitions to clear, it is close to a month for a WEEKLY challenge. In the meantime, they are stuck with that challenge unless they expend a reroll to get rid of it where it can (and does) show up at the next rerolled challenge. My EU toons (main and alt) are both at 10 challenges this week. Some will fall off because they are completed, but 12 is the max and that challenge eats a slot. My EU toons are plugging away at it by doing both quests because they still need to level up their Thieves Guild skill lines, but that means they will minimally lose out on three or four non-problematic challenges over the course of completing that one because that one is eating up a slot.

And woe be unto the player who blindly presses F and then Y to claim the points in order to get the notification off the screen. They are stuck with it permanently. Players (including me) will live with it, but "suck it up, Princess" is not a solution.

Relating to that same task, where is the 'Finder' board?

"Finder" is the challenge. The boards are Specer Rye's and Josseline Madier's Reacquisitions boards. Rye's is just outside the cistern entrance to the den in Hew's Bane, right next to him, and where it has always been. Madier's is at the back of the Daggerfall den. She's standing next to the Jobs board, so it's perhaps easier to think of it as "the board Madier isn't standing next to."

EDIT: I'm a bit puzzled by the NPC placement on this, but it's probably that Seline and Basil are standing by that board at the start of "Three Thieves in Daggerfall," so putting Madier there could have created a potential NPC clutter problem.
