i think the only sellable antiquities right now are the motifs
i sure wouldnt be opposed to letting the furnishing antiquities be sellable too, as it would actually give me some reason to even bother digging them up once i finish the codex entries lol
i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (fully filled out with current game), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them
in progress: acquiring mundus stones (currently only have the thief)
The only reason before that I can think of why Antiquity Furnishings can't be sold is because it would make people who want one of them buy Greymoor. But with Antiquities becoming base game at some point in Season One, that wouldn't be the case any longer. Maybe, then, we'll see Antiquity Furnishings no longer be Bound?

Antiquity furnishings can be purchased from Achievement vendors. I personally like that some furnishings require a concerted effort to acquire, and can't be simply purchased from the guild traders.
I don't even mind the antiquities being a massive gold sink at the achievement vendors, but they should all unlock after completing the first codex. Our other collectible furnishings (like the Vvardenfell Scale Model or the Blackwood Tapestry) do.
Maybe I misunderstood, but I assumed the OP meant that the furnishings have zero gold value and therefore cannot be sold to an NPC vendor, not that they are bound and cannot be sold to other players.
I believe there are one or two antiquity furnishings that have some gold value, but almost all do not. I think this is strange. We go to the effort of scrying and digging them up. Why can we not vendor them for a bit of gold if we do not otherwise need them?
Don't shatter my dreams of having a full banquet hall of everyone sitting on Riven King's Trones around Sixth House Ritual Tables while sipping from Ysgramor's Sacred Solo Cups, and all without spending a single gold piece (can't get the banquet hall itself through antiquities, but one can dream).
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.
