Honestly id much rather we get more seals from the season tomes, at least or especially for the premium track than all these trade bars.
Especially from the view of a long term player that has hardly anything to spend trade bars on...

Yep. As a long term player I wish I could use the trade bars to buy stuff available for seals, as have everything I want from the small selection available for trade bars…..

The thing is, Seals only exist as a means to get around any laws, existing or potential future one's, regarding items you can only get via "gambling" and there's no in-game way to earn. The Seals are there so ZOS can say "look there IS a way to get what you want directly from the Crates that isn't a currency you only get from opening Crates to begin with". It's why the only thing you can buy with them is Crate stuff.

I'd love to get a bunch of Seals too, but we were annoyingly never meant to get them in large amounts that let us avoid buying Crates to any real amount. That would cut into profits from people actually buying them. Honestly though, I'd be happy if they'd just adjust the cost of everything Superior and above so it's not all so expensive. Making things like 1k less for Superior and 2k less for everything else wouldn't be a huge loss on their profits but it would make the Seals we get go a bit farther at least.

There are already so many in-game currencies in ESO it is getting beyond crazy.
Plus several of the currencies have just the same function and no logical reason to exist at all.

I would like to see seals and trade bars merged into a single currency, with the corresponding store pages combined into one.

Keep it simple, straightforward! (The other KISS principle...)

Getting more seals or things costing fewer seals comes down to the same so...

This is a great idea, and, if they were going to merge them, I'd have no problem if there was any increase in price for items, if they for example, made the new currency earned through golden pursuits as well as the Tomes

I do like how we have options as to buying cosmetics from bars, seals and the crown gems we can get from deconstructing items, I used gems to buy a hairstyle I wanted but didn't have the seals for, and this let me save up seals for something else I might want down the road. I think this is a great choice by ZOS, even though I do get the idea of "currency bloat" by having so many different currencies

Seals are for buying things that come from the cash shop. Trade Bars are for buying in-game items that were free but you may have missed because you were on vacation or hadn't started playing the game yet, etc. The underlying economics are very different. It's like equating the toy that comes inside a box of cereal with a gift card for a free box of cereal.

agree, I think for new players trade bars are great...for long term players there is not that much you can do with them...

In general while the new seasonal model is good for new players, long term loyal players get worse value imo with eso+ and with this as well...

So it would be kinda nice if at least the premium track that more loyal long term players probably use contains a higher allocation of seals....

Don't like trade bars, as there is nothing I want in the Bazaar. I always used seals, have yet to find anything I want with trade bars.

I don't think tomes, trade bars or challenges are worth even subbing for.

We also seem to be getting far fewer seals than with the previous system? Which is why I'd like to use trade bars for things currently only available with seals.

    Mathematically, we’re not.

We got 8k free last season, and they even said we get 8k free next season. That’s actually a bit more than we used to get, since the old average was somewhere around 7200 over three months.

The big issue now is that we used to earn them over time - 30-45 a day, an extra 200 or so for a weekly, and it built bit by bit. Now, we get Tome Points really fast and can get all 8000 seals essentially in under a month, giving us a full two months of feeling like we are getting no seals at all.

Perception matters. And even if we are technically getting more, it definitely feels like we’re getting less.

Trade bars seem pretty useless. Ive had everything that they can buy for months.

That distinction is not quite so clear cut.

There is at least one item in the Bazaar that’s actually from a crown crate: Morthal Jarl Finery. There may be others too (I don’t recognize everything), or more may be added.

There are also many previously unreleased items in the Bazaar, including a bunch of new skill styles and the Snowdrift Vale Elk. These were never offered, for free or at a cost, and so could not have been missed.

There are also items that were never able to be acquired in game in the first place and were definitely not free to acquire. The Hot-Blooded Bantam Guar was originally from a code redemption only given out at in-person events.

I’m curious how much of the seasonal stuff incoming next week to the Bazaar will be new as opposed to things that were offered on a limited basis before. It seems they are drawing from a variety of sources here, including old and new items.
