The New Transmutation Station Looks Awesome, but.
An Essay About My Preferences

In my house, I like to decorate each interactable Station or Assistant with a bit of matching decor. Usually a carpet/pad, a sign, and a bit of related clutter.

Our existing Transmutation Station has a great selection of matching Clockwork clutter. I'm definitely not tapping into the full potential at all, but you can see that simply placing a few matching items nearby makes the station feel more alive:

Unfortunately, the new Mage's Guild Transmutation Station doesn't match any existing furniture style in the game. I've browsed through similar styles, like Orcish, but I can't really find enough matching stuff, like the crystal bucket, to justify purchasing a station I can't satisfyingly decorate yet.

I may purchase the station next time it returns to the store, if it is accompanied by matching furnishings. Perhaps the College of Winterhold furnishing style could match?

In the meantime, if anybody purchased the new Mage's Guild Transmutation Station and managed to decorate on-theme, please share!

i just put the Mages Guild Transmute station next to my Clockwork Transmute station.

i do like to add related items near my crafting stations, but i also put related crafting stations near eachother like Clothing with Outfit.

Mages Guild furnishings would definitely fit the transmute station in theme, though maybe not the wooden style.
The wooden style seems to me like Colovian wooden structures would fit.

I have it sitting in my Khajiit-themed Hall of the Lunar champion, along with the Druidic Provisioning Station and Telvanni Alchemy Station from Antiquities. It will be joined by the Daedric Enchanting Station as soon as the Atoll of Immolation drops the last lead (-cough- accursed RNG -cough-), but it's no more out of place than those or the Grand Master stations, and certainly much less out of place than the Scribing Altar or the original Clockwork style station, but I did give it its own little banner so it won't feel completely alone.

Oh, and before I forget, "but its 4500 crowns which is insane." (hate to disappoint @biovitalb16_ESO, even though that's the crown cost of the original, too -- you're welcome and I'll show myself out)

You can purchase the Clockwork station with writ vouchers.

I like the new Mages Guild station but won’t be buying it unless I can use writ vouchers for that purchase too.

These fit with Transmutes Stations, both old and new, imo.

Other than this you could maybe use a Maormer Carpet for "matching colors", but the style isn't really thematic.

My issue with it is that you can't see it do anything. You're forced into a closeup of your character with glowing hands and that's it. Unlike other stations it doesn't feel like my guy is actually doing anything other than having glowing hands since the station is not visible at all when using it. I spent half my crowns on this and I don't even get a cool animation?

It is insane. That's roughly 35 euros. I think I bought the whole Morrowind chapter for less.

Crown Store is really suffering from unappealing prices. I bet if they cut the price of the Transmute Station in half they would quadruple the sales and earn it back in no time. Same goes for many other things.

These are virtual goods, you spend no time maintaining them, storing them, creating new ones. Once they've been modeled and added to the game - that's it! Why such steeps prices then?
