Lol. I remember a time when Caluurion's was considered problematic.

Just realized with the new DK rework + Animal Companions you've got a sweet spot of 5 different abilities that can all hit at once:

Incinerate (5s)
Soul of Flame (4s)
Deep Fissure (3s)
Contingency (next Cast)
Take Flight (Stun)

It'll still be 4 if pureclassed, but now with those fancy class passives. With all the delayed AoE and AoE effects DK has it's painful to play NB atm.

Just a bit of a vent after getting fossilized through Cloak again.

    Yeah, the subclassing options are wild with Ardent Flame.

    What I have been abusing is:

    Incinerate
    Heart of Flame
    Deep Fissure
    Toppling Charge
    1 or 2 whips depending on distance of the charge
    Heart of Flame again

    Then keep rotating deep fissure/heart of flame with whips in between until I have to go backbar again.

    Warden for the class scribing (whatever it's called now).

    Then of course, I loved Caluurion's, so there is that too.

    There is also Whip at the end. If you get stunned by Leap you cant avoid the Whip afterwards.

    Or more practically you could just do something like:

    Deep Fissure
    Incinerate
    Heart of Flame
    Streak
    Whip

    and just make sure all of them will hit for sure with your unblockable undodgeable gap closer AoE damage stun Streak. And then use exact same Streak to run away if things get messy... Toppling Charge variation is also quite popular...

    My favourite proc is winterborn. Id love for that set to be good in pve.

    I remember back in the day when it used to have an 8% chance to proc from frost damage. Would be so good right now if it still had that condition

    To be fair, the leap-to-whip thing has always been around. But yeah, even as a "DK go Brrr" main enjoyer myself, I question why on earth they thought Flames of Oblivion (or whatever it's called now) and Fiery Breath (or whatever THAT is also called now) needed to have their damage significantly increased AFTER already making the burst heal give you TWO sources of damage buffs. Combining them with warden's Shalks was just about the most obvious thing in the world. And then on top of that they added a delay to the stun to "increase counterplay"... If you don't see the effect happen , which is very easy with all the particle effects plus the fact that most people will be looking at their opponent and not themselves then it is a death-sentence. You can line all of that burst during a period where it is impossible for the target to react to anything.

    Yeah, the you can't kill me but you get to mald dev made a class.

    Can't wait for the rest of the classes to be milqetoast in comparison because the DK's are the pinnacle of survivability and combat. Especially transitioning NB to brawler, but of course being subservient to DK in all regards because we need the macho man to be the macho best.

    What worries me about dk is this "master of everything" approach they took for the rework.
    Amazing burst, sustain and survival. Also the best dot skills in the business, but.people don't notice that since you get cut in half by whips before the dots have a chance to even kick in.

    And if they have all classes look like that after the rework, we will all just play the same class with different colors.

    Which, well. will mean if they actually plan for that will mean NB will be the same, since they'll have the same kind of brawler capabilities.

    But I kinda highly doubt that honestly. And it'll just end up requiring some esoteric multi-GCD cloak usage that's easily interrupted, with mobility that can still only backtrack movement.
