Forums are very laggy today, occasional error 503

The forums are very laggy today and it occasionally freezes with a 503 error code. It is doing this on my PC and on my mobile phone both. Is anyone else getting this?

It's the all the players repeatedly complaining about Night Market.
Probably triggered some DDOS counter measures by Cloudflare. 😅

Same here. Game's running fine but forum has been quite laggy (no actual errors here though).

Edit: Lol, just had a 503 error after I made the above post.

Every 3 "clicks" forum gives 503 error.
In my case, game too: I got booted 2 times today, and every action is delayed (like if I turn in a quest, I can make 3 steps away before it plays the sound and appears the announcement).

EDIT: by the way, I noticed since 2 or 3 days ago the look of the forum page on my tablet has changes. For example, the on-screen buttons of "save comment", "cancel", etc are different.

I got an error 504(?iirc) several minutes ago while trying to "awesome" a post. The error said something about Cloudflare in Atlanta losing connection with the Vanilla firums, so whatever's causing the issues might not be specific to the ESO forums.

Quite possibly a targeted attack. If it wasn't the forums, it'd be on the game servers. Happens every time anything remotely noteworthy is happening with ESO.

Same here, the game has been fine when I played briefly earlier in the day, but the forum has been very laggy.

I started getting http insecure site something or other last night, all day today it's been so slow, or trouble connecting. Probably all the night market threads flooding the forums.

Use a saved history link in my browser to get to this section of forum (General Discussion) and it wouldn't let me get to forum. Had to cut down link in browser to only show "https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/ " for get to it to work again.

When using back button in Firefox it would show error 503, so there are something up with servers for ESO forum right now.

It could be Vanilla, rather than ZOS. I've noticed a few minor changes to the UI within the last week or so, which suggests that Vanilla has been making modifications in their software.

Seems better today so far. And agreed, not a fan of the changes, especially the giant emojis. But I assume ZOS doesn’t have a say in the matter as a customer?

Vanilla is failing to fix an almost 1 year old bug that they were made aware of when it happened. Instead we got bigger buttons.

I read it's a customized version anyway. Graphics can obviously be altered (background, avatars, etc), so probably the emojis could as well? I agree they're too big now which is slightly disruptive.

About the extremely wide "POST REPLY" button, I was wondering if it's some kind of bug or mistake, because it stretches all the way across to the right margin, then the "SAVE DRAFT" button begins immediately below. It sort of feels like some sort of weird "wraparound" bug, if that makes sense-- like the two buttons were jammed together without a proper gap between them, and the forums software pushed the second button down to a new line and stretched the first button to make it fit the width of the designated area, or something bizarre like that. I just can't see any legitimate reason for it to have been deliberate.

The forums were lagging and giving errors most of the day on Saturday, May 2. It was better yesterday but is starting to lag again today. I'm not sure if anything can be done about it but wanted you to be aware.
