Thank you for the Night Market

I’m a solo player. I’ve always focused heavily on questing, and I’ve completed all the game’s content three times: every single quest, no exceptions. I genuinely enjoy solo content and always have.

Honestly, I was never very interested in group content like trials. But the Night Market has been different. At first, I used the Group Finder and joined a group of random players. We explored, defeated several bosses, and managed to get the keys for the dungeons.

Then I decided to turn to my guild, and wow, I’ve never seen it this active before.

Multiple channels with different people running the Night Market. Level 40 players playing alongside CP 3200 players. Several full groups of 12, people having fun, laughing, no competition, just group enjoyment.

I know the Market has been heavily criticized, but personally, it’s been one of the most fun things I’ve done in ESO since launch, back in 2014. I honestly think it’s the best event I’ve ever taken part in. No comparison.

Actually playing the game as an MMORPG, with a TON of people coming together to handle mechanics, have fun, and laugh, has been fantastic.

I would really love to see more events like this in the future. One suggestion: add a vendor that’s active during the event, selling items based on your favor. This vendor could work like the Infinite Archive one, with a weekly rotating selection of items.

That would significantly increase the longevity of this content. As it stands, I’m not sure it’ll stay active in our guild for more than a couple of weeks. Everyone is absolutely DEVOURING it right now, and by the final month there might not be much left to do haha.

But seriously, thank you for the Night Market, it’s been amazing!

there technically is a vendor that sells stuff based on your favor (the faction vendors) but they only have new night market related furnishings and items, another rotational style vendor would be nice (and likely to happen should the night market be more permanently active)

i would agree that the night market is enjoyable, it feels like an actual challenging public dungeon, but it does have a few things they need to iron out with it lol
    plays PC/NA
    handle @Necrotech_Master
    active player since april 2014

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (fully filled out with current game), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

in progress: acquiring mundus stones (currently only have the thief)

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

Yes! This is a good event! What I really love about it is people having to group up with others they dont usually play with. Also, its more about cooperation than just dps which is absolutely something we need more of! You do not have to have excessive burn to do this event, we had so many really fabulous groups of various levels and cleared everything just fine. There needs to be more efforts to steer the game away from 'everything is all about dps' - it is not.

Maybe if it becomes permanent, it would make more sense, you’re right!

Have had great fun in there over the last few days. It's a nice event, but I do fear the usual ESO thing with lacklustre general rewards means that those who burn through the story and build up favour will stop running, and with fewer people, it will be harder to get a group together. I hope I'm proved wrong.

I expected to hate night market but I love it! Even was motivated enough to struggle through my first Trial clear since starting this game.

Love the zone and gameplay - so much more fun and a nice change of pace from RP and questing.

I think the Night Market is the most exceptional piece of content they’ve ever done. It seems to be very well thought out and I don’t think they should change a thing.
I like that it gets non-trials players to try twelve player groups and then even an actual trial. Yes, this is exceptional content. Way to go Zos!

Yea as of today i have 8200 facor and completed the trial 2 times. All oddities and races completed too.
It will not take long for me to have nothing else to do.

Maybe once the 3 masks are completed the trial should award 200 trade bars instead to keep the grind going.

It has been a shot in the arm for guilds for sure. Players are coming together to group up with whatever build they have and clearing the content as a team.

As for more events like this, yes as long as the difficulty and level of grind are not this intense. It’s a struggle to keep up.

Commenting to show the support, NM is something really novel, past 1.5yrs most of my raid group and i mostly only opened the game for the raids, sometimes pledges.
This past week? we came together outside of raid hours almost everyday to do NM stuff and genuinely fool around. It turned our group from just a raidgroup into feeling sorta like an old timer mmo guild, that usually never happens in eso it feels like.
This NM thing is very addictive.

(Obligatory comment: Man, that argent furry boss is the one bad thing in the entire NM, there's annoying and borring stuff, and then there's him)

Indeed, this has been most fun I've had in a long time.

And the best part is you can easily try all different kinds of builds. When I solo group dungeons, I need to really prepare. Here you can just try, adjust, swap builds, swap characters, adapt, overcome.

So far I have tried to solo with:
    • My main solo build (subclassed arca) and it was fairly easy. Can take up to Brazens.
    • Pureclass, old school templar solo build. Slightly more difficult but quite easy. Could do Brazens but would take a long time.
    • 2bar Rakkhat Heavy Attack build. Medium difficulty. Takes a bit of time to kill the enemies and need to slot some survivability skills, but it't the easiest to get into soloing Night Market. If you are new to soloing and want to give it a go, although not the best for soloing, Rakkhat HA build is easy to play so you can concentrate on the mechs more.
    • A standard trial tank, nord DK. Easiest if you only do quests, because nothing can kill you. Can't fight solo since killing anything takes ages.
    • A stealthy thief build, perma cloak NB. Easy if you only do quests, because nothing can see you. Can only leech if there is a fight.
    • A trial DD beam arca. Tough as nails, gets easily stunned and killed before you can break free. Not fun. Can somewhat survive if slotting vigor and reaving blows, but way too difficult because that is specced for full dps, not survival.
    • A trial DD DK. Even less fun than trial arca. Don't recommend. Make a solo build instead. I heard solo DK performs really well here. Maybe I should try a DK solo build next.

I've tried 4 player group. 1t 3dd. Can do up to Ardents. Argents? Whatever the higher bosses are. The higher bosses required some concentration, though. But then again, I am not a very good tank and one in our group was there for the first time.

12 player trial group. Everything is easy. Skirmish with wandering boss, no problem.

2x 12 player group & 3x 10 player group. Everything is less than trivial. Burn through everything within seconds, unless they have an invulnerability stage. (The Balorgh boss with the easy version of HM mechs... yeah, burned the boss then had to do all the dark phases one after the other...)
