I'd like to be able to use the banker and open the wings but I don't want it bad enough to go through what it would take.

It took me two days of killing bosses and mobs in a group formed in one of my trading guilds. I have around 1000 favors left for the bank access. That is my main goal, to do my guild business without having flappies in my face.

How is everyone opening the vault access so fast?! 5000 favor is so far from me (currently at ~2500)

Got my 5000 favors now and sadly the bank access was a disappointment for me. No trader access from it so I’ll have to keep have flappies in my face when doing guild business.

Huh, I think my house is broken. It's still showing as empty with 3.5 mil on one server, and only partially filled with 68 mil on the other server...

I wonder if the gold needs to be in the bank rather than a character holding it. I keep all my gold in the bank except for 2k per character for traveling around etc..

I also wonder about it only taking 7 million to get the most full looking vault. That seems like an odd amount and not nearly enough to fill the vault that much.

Unless I was transferring gold to a different character, I don't understand the point of putting it in the bank. No one can take it from you.

I cleaned out all the furniture that came with it and will probably never see the inside of it again.

I keep mine in the bank so I don't accidentally spend it. When my mouse was going bad it would double click instead of single click when I was trying to preview items on the luxury furnishing vendor and other merchants. I ended up buying a lot of stuff I didn't want before I figured out what the problem was.

It's also more convenient because no matter which character I'm on or where I am I can just summon my banker and take out whatever gold I need when I need it.

I suppose it really depends on the platform (PC NA/EU, console, etc). I got to 5,000 last night, but I also do a lot of group surfing and I look for Faction quest shares more than the quests in the districts themselves (I don't even think those are shareable).

But I keep surfing, filling groups when they're struggling with a skirmish or something. Preference of it being grindy will vary. Personally I was having way too much fun keeping myself alive and getting those clutch rezzes to really notice I was grinding. For others I can see where it would be. I ended up dusting off my Sorcerer and Necro after not logging into them since 2021. The Sorcerer's pretty fun with Streak and Negate/Suppression Field. Necro I had to multi-class, but I made a pretty strong defensive healer with battle rezzing in mind (with all the resurrection CP system buffs) as well as the Necro resurrection ult. I don't have to slot a Restoration Staff half the time, so I can also flex the build around to what I need (more damage, more healing, etc).

I would say if you're struggling? Becoming key parts of helping the group stay alive with some utility like that can make things a little faster.

Helps me know how much gold I actually have and helps me not spend it all at once. I actively play about 8 characters but have I think 12 (and do writs on them sometimes) and if I didn’t bank my gold, I’d have to occasionally go through and sort my gold. I have an addon set to auto bank all gold above a certain point except for my main. My main, I’ll take out a million and go on a shopping spree sometimes.
