Two Things The Night Market Shows

The Night Market shows two very important things imo:
  1. Antiquity Leads can have better drop rates
  2. Overland mobs can have smaller aggro radius' before combat drop

I'm going to caveat point 2 with: I believe the old code is so spagehttied that changing it is problematic. I also believe ZOS is working in the background on improving that code.

I'd like to hope that ZOS will continue to build on some of the excellent features and mechanics displayed. I mean, the Duneripper alone is both challenging, fun, and hilarious!

I was expecting some long grind for antiquity leads, however it was not that way. Almost four days in and all the codex entries is finished for me. Good thing is that i have never searched what lead comes from where. I like this.

I also was rolling in antiquity leads. I'm on my second round of it for the codex entries and I'm not even trying.

I agree with this. I have been increasingly more frustrated and discouraged with lead farming as I've had the bulk of my progress stuck/locked behind a handful of leads that are tedious to farm and/or not easy to farm alone for about a year. I've done Graven Deep hundreds of times and both I and most of my close friends/guildies are sick of running it but I still need 2 more copies of the lead, Bastion Nymics 2-4 times a day becomes extremely unfun after months, and any treasure map lead in the most recent dlcs feels like a waste of gold/time.

I appreciate that the Night Market leads feel like a better time/effort balance. I do wonder if in a "two birds one stone" kinda deal they could consider adding random (and maybe curated) lead drops to Night Market for older leads in future runs to give people an alternative source for troublesome leads and make some of the lackluster parts of the Night Market feel more rewarding? Just a thought. It could help with the lore/story/narrative of the Night Market and also give some additional appeal to the exploration theme.
