Curious Missive: Missing?

Yesterday I did the Curious Missive quest, triggered by reading a lorebook in the Night Market. Eidetic Memory has 2 versions of this note because the 2nd time you do it you get a different note. I have searched every inch of The Parch today and cannot find this quest again.

Has anybody had this quest today who compeletd it yesterday?

I think there are 5 side quests per zone. This is the one I haven’t found yet.

Did you find it? I found the "second" version of Curious Missive now here, after running around for a while and not finding it. I had to basically stand right in front of it to pop up. Both versions are now registered in the EM.

This is half correct. I found mine very close to the jump pad on the Parch's southern oasis. There are a few locations for each quest and it's not guaranteed to be active so it takes some trying/checking to find it. For the missive itself, you need to complete the first version of Scavenger's Riddles to be eligible for the second starter note (all notes after the first are the same as the first chain). I will note I had to go into my inventory and read the second version's first hint for it to register in my lore library as well, which is weird because all others auto added to Eidetic, this part is a bug I'm sure will get some people.

Thanks for the info, but sadly was not there for me yesterday or today. I know they may have several spawn points that arein the same area.

Oddly I cannot find any daily quests in the region of The Parch today, and yesterday I was got dailies in the morning in Sorrow's and they respawned in the evening too.

Not sure what is going on. @ZOS_GinaBruno Any chance of clarifying?

Edit: Found a bunch on the NE section of the Southern sector including the missive. Seems the spawn points are more distributed than I thought

I had this yesterday. I did random quests in other districts then went back to the Parch and that caused a lot of them to activate. We don't know for certain but from a few friends' testing and my own experiences only so many dailies are up at a time and they randomly roll but doing some of them seem to make new ones activate faster. I would prefer more clarity from zos on whether this is a bug or intended though especially since I've rolled the same side quest multiple times in one day but the sequel to Scavenger's Riddles took me a day to find (and I was admittedly tryharding it for the lorebook).

The locations where you pick up the quest starter for the district mini-quests are randomized. For example, I searched for and did every district mini-quest yesterday on my main character, and there was one quest in Sorrow (Blunt Steel) that I had just done on another character earlier, where I picked up the quest starter near the entrance of the district, but there was no quest starter there for my main character. After exploring the district, I eventually found it... on the other side of the district.

There were a number of other quests where the pickup for the quest starter was not where I had remembered it being.

The randomized spawn, coupled with the fact that the quest marker doesn't show up until you get pretty close, some of them took a while for me to find. Having the district's relic and slotting cloak helped.

I found the third missive right behind the portal of the north safe zone, underneath some displays of sausage and such. See pics.

First time I found the quest was exactly here. This was the last zone quest I had yet to do and was difficult to find it. But apparently there are few places where this quest starter can be. This is just one location.

Just like the fix the statue quest in sorrow, the statue head drops from some random mob.

I've done this side quest twice now, and I think the 3 missives were in the same places both times. It's one of the side quests where the blue quest pointer is located in a boss area, which in my experience makes the quest pointers more difficult to see because they don't show up on the compass since the entire compass is filled with the boss's health bar. When I found the 3 missives, iirc the first was in the far western section of the parch, the second was up in the north or northwest section, and the third was on the northern rooftop spawn point as shown above.
