I think solo players are screwed, and I seriously doubt we'll see a double GP or anything like that.
Your best bet (and mine too—I'm mostly a solo player myself, with a few exceptions) is to join a group or a party with guild members or something like that, but I definitely wouldn't expect another GP running simultaneously with the one we have now...

It's a strange decision to increasingly focus the entire game on solo play, only to then make the main event of the year truly enjoyable only for groups.

Since there's no new area this year, I would have at least expected multiple difficulty levels. That would also be a great test for introducing difficulty levels in the open world.

Right now, the new area is unplayable and devoid of any fun – I'd rather go to the dentist.

No-one is talking about the sky falling and group content is fine. Im talking about the GP only being group-oriented. Impossible to finish otherwise. If I remember correctly this is the first GP that is impossible to finish without actively exclusively doing a specific piece of content, thereby excluding anyone not interested in that specific piece of content. Till now all the GP has had varied means of completion from all over the game. questing, gathering, pvp, etc. Then only grouping. Im just wondering why?

i think the last 10 years without any real skill base fights out-side of trials has made this the general feeling for a lot of players that wasnt here for the beginning when eso combat was more then just a heavy attack to kill 85% of the game and hasn't been asking for something like this for 10 years since they took it out .... its been said many of ways before its like players want everything handed to them without a fight , look what vengeance got started now its being asked for trials to get a vengeance type over haul to make them easier

This is not the main the event of the year. This is just the centerpiece of this season. Every season will have a centerpiece content. Next season is all about solo questing and exploration, with two different quest lines, a new daily quest system and dynamic events that are cooperative but will be easily solo'd as they scale. Now, I do agree there should have been a solo and vet. That's very true. Let everyone have fun.

Because the current golden pursuit is connected to the nightmarket event.
And only offering rewards related to the event.
An event that focuses on a group content zone.

That's it, that is the reason why.

The pursuit focuses on the Night Market which is designed as a group area, so it makes perfect sense that the tasks are going to be mostly group orientated.

All players need to do is either follow a group around, or join one through group finder and simply tag along. There's no need to interact, speak or do anything with those players. Simply follow the principle of safety in numbers and get some free heals and rezzes. It's a stretch to call it group play really.

Quests can be done quite easily just being stealthy, so a good nightblade would probably run those pretty easily. I'll switch to mine when I've done the main quest line and I'm betting the Night Market will be really good fun. I don't often have her at level 4 vamp, but it's very handy sometimes. Invis pots would be a good alternative.

The rewards for this pursuit aren't going to suit everyone's taste, so some won't want them anyway.
