    "Shived"?

    What does it mean?

Shived is a pop culture form of old prison slang for stabbing someone. People pick it up from movies. I can assure you, no one uses that word inside a prison.

We also used shivs in that quest in Cidhna Mine in Skyrim. Otherwise I wouldn't have known of it. (I guess I don't watch prison movies).

That hospital-scrubs blue is one of my least favorite colors of all time lol

I'm going to join the Glitter team first, because of its dye. But if there weren't any dyes tied to the factions, I'd probably join The Thousand-Eyes because, although none of the factions are anything any of my characters would join, I personally think the Maormer lady is cool. I'm interested in any Maormer stuff and also the translation stuff she does.

None of the monster sets seem all that great, but Thousand Eyes is perhaps the more interesting of the options. There's never been a monster set that deals bleed before.

If The Ruckus set didn't have that horrible drawback I might have chosen it for PvP.

Glittering Goad sounded interesting at first until I realized Elemental Susceptibility is still a freely spammable ability with no delays or restrictions.

I really wanted a bleed set, this just seems a very niche case

Not trying to kill the cool roleplaying vibe here but I must point out the set only procs on direct crit damage.
So, don't expect it to fire as often as you might think, especially if you're not chasing crit chance on whatever build you're running.

Probably I will go in this rotation for the Night Market when it refreshes each time it leaves:

Eyes > Gold > Ruckus just so I can rotate through them all. I do have to admit that the eyes is MUCH more appealing to me then the other factions, which is why its going first.

What if it's actually hospital-scrubs green color? (blue!!!) No, this time definitely green!
Would it alter your choice in any way?

Crit builds are pretty much the most popular for DPS builds. Stacking crit is easy. I foresee a lot of players experimenting with 4pc Highland Sentinel to accommodate builds containing both a mythic and a 2pc Monster Set. May not be meta, sure. But it won't be horrible either.

If nothing else, it can replace the defacto 1pc Crit to replace Slimecraw.

Staying away from any 'Faction' related content. Just done with it. You choose what makes you happy but understand that factions get 'owned' by others over time and just like in Cyrodiil, it may become a big club and we ain't in it.

I already had my eyes (ha) set on this faction due to the daedrat and maormer combo leader. The monster set is just the icing on the cake.

Your language probably has some slang terms for knives and/or stabbing.
A shiv and a shank are makeshift knives, originating from prison slang but can be used by street gangs or other criminals.
Shivving is not that much used, but shanking can be used as a verb.
I am guessing Shived was chosen because that is not as common verb as shanking. And shanking can be done with other things than makeshift knives, such as screwdrivers. Stabbing with a broken bottle would also be shanking and should not be confused with the UK slang term "to glass someone" - that is smashing a glass (or a bottle) in someone's face.
But anyway, no matter how low crime rate any given country has, stabbing each other with pointy objects is one of our oldest hobbies, so I am sure every language has some slang terms for it. You can probably think of one or two.

It's just nothing one usually comes across here (unless one's a member of some criminal groups oneself, I guess). In those almost 40 year of my life I've seen exactly one brawl, and those were teens quarelling about who knows what. And I don't live in a small village, but in a big city (1 million + inhabitants). The biggest problem with crime that the average person here might encounter is their bicycle getting stolen, and pickpocketing in tourist areas downtown.

The only word I can think of would be "abstechen", which is the more aggressive form of "erstechen" (to stab), and that's it.

Edit: Just checked on ESO Hub out of curiosity if it's already listed there, and indeed, it is. And they went for "abstechen".

See, you figured not one, but two words. And the more aggressive was the translation. It's rare where I come from, too, but we do have a word for stabbing as well. Pretty sure poking with a pointy stick is one of the oldest forms of tool use among our species, so no matter how rare the occurrence is nowadays, every language has a word for it.

So how is Köln? I go through it once a year when I visit my friend, but never stay there more than waiting for my train. (And get my train snacks from Penny at Eigelstein. And maybe a beer at a nearby Kneipe if I am too early at the station.)

Yeah, but they're not prison slang, but fairly standard language. That was the question: If there are any prison slang words for it. If there are, they aren't common knowledge.

What stops you from exploring the city a bit if you have a little spare time? The typical places most tourists are interested in are near the central station anyway. Or you could even take a tram to Melaten (though that's more a special interest thing, I guess, and I think about a 15 minutes ride).

In translations the idea is more important than 1:1 translation. In fact, sometimes 1:1 translation is not desirable.

For example, in English "a rolling stone gathers no moss" means that if you move a lot or change jobs often, you won't "grow roots", gather wealth, friends, etc. The moss is a good thing.

If this would be translated 1:1 to Finnish, it would be an existing saying. We have that, too. However, for us it means that you should not stay still, become complacent, bored, stale. Movement keeps things fresh. The moss is a bad thing.

So rather than looking for the exact translation, the idea should be translated.

Time. When going to my friend, I arrive to Köln and take the next RE27 south to meet my friend. When going home, I stay at my friend's place as long as possible and take the train north so I'll have about an hour before my train leaves. In one hour I have just enough time to buy some train snacks and maybe have a quick pint. (Still don't like Kölsch, but it's better than nothing.)

I've seen a lot of big cities in my travels and try to avoid any place where I see (other) tourists.

I've spread the thousand eyes to my guild. It has actual feeling behind it. Formerly in charge of the night market. Taken from, oppressed and angry. Hidden and grimey. Unseen but always present. Alone, nothing but together a force to be taken seriously. The punk rock of it all. What does the others have? I like violence and oh shiney? I will of course choose all 3 but thousand eyes is definitely the coolest.

I wonder how much it will effect sorcerers that use critical surge? They would already have high Crit percentage for the self heal from the ability, and now the set will let their Crits do even more.
