Why is Naj-Caldeesh so grossly overtuned in normal?

    It's not overtuned.
If casuals are struggling with Normal, then yes it is overtuned and an abject failure at its intended purpose. You wanna sweat, you queue for Vet.

1% brain activity = sweat for you?

I mean damn, this is absolutely ridiculous that having a tank with taunt (having not only light armor optional) and a healer with at least 1 heal on bars is considered to be a sweaty.
I wonder if there is even a lower bar to the degradation of the ESO playerbase?

    Oh come off it.

The issue is that on each difficulty level, the dungeons should be in the same category. Not exactly the same, that would become boring, and like The Cauldron trifecta is easier than Coral Aerie HM. But in each of them, their respective difficulty level belong to their categories. Vet The Cauldron is clearly a vet dungeon. Its normal difficulty is clearly a normal dungeon.

But for N-C, normal N-C is more difficult than vet Cauldron. The normal N-C is not in the same category as every single other normal dungeon. It's more in line with easier vet DLC dungeons.

The issue is not how well you can play. I am sure you are very good player. It's about consistency in these dungeons.

I can agree that some of the aspects of this dungeon is not so fitting to normal difficulty. Also why are the Falkreath Hold Minotaurs are hitting so hard in normal difficulty as well?

Perhaps the thread opener considers changing the thread title to:

"Why is Naj-Caldeesh so grossly overtuned in normal (compared to other dungeons in normal)?"

General, why do you consider yourself entitled to tell me how to name my own topics?

    *sigh*

I don't feel *entitled*, I tried to sum up in an *ironic* suggestion what the major issue seems to be concerning the topic discussed.

But thanks for your efforts trying to educate me, much appreciated 👏.

    Anecdote time!

I pugged this dungeon over and over on normal during the last Undaunted event with every single character on my main account (skill points are nice, full stickerbook pleases me) and nine characters on one of my alt accounts (not that fussed on that one to collect all the set items).

Did 33 runs, 29 runs were successful, 4 stumbled on the Voskrona boss and failed to complete.

All pugs that did have a player on a tank or tank-like role cleared the obstacle and completed.

All pugs that did not have anyone resembling a tank but understood the mechanics of that boss or were OK wit reading a two sentence explanation of the mechanics and how to overcome them cleared the obstacle and completed.

Only pugs that did not have anyone on a tank or tank-like role and players opted to bail rather than read a two sentence explanation of the mechanics and how to overcome them failed (one of those pugs I got big 'you cannot tell me what to do, you are not my real dad' energy from one of the players who bailed but still found time to express that they found my very existence generally displeasing via whisper).

Where I do agree with the opinion that there is an expectation set regarding normal dungeons (stack and burn, no 'showstopper' mechanics of note) my personal experience with pugs in normal was nothing short of excellent all things considered.

If the failure rate would have been higher I'd have made an effort and put something 'tank-like' together myself and queue as a tank alas didn't see the need.

I've had many more mixed experiences 'back in the day' with pugs in CoS facing Dranos.

I have given up on my efforts to educate kids, but thank you so much for your appreciation.
