Vengeance is way too simple

First off, vengeance is not my thing. I have always felt it was a wasted effort and would give nothing meaningful to the people who enjoy cyrodiil as it is. And that seems to be the case. Nothing will change or improve for most pvpers, which is sad considering it started as a test to apparently try and help cyrodiil performance, and ended as a new addition that most pvpers do not want.

That being said, I do think it can serve as a good replacement for no cp and under level 50. And a good place for new players to learn without getting completely destroyed before they even understand what happened. But it is just waaay too simple. I really hope you guys plan on expanding on it more as time goes on.

If you dont want sets, cp, passives, etc, then fine, but why not expand on what you already have? Why not let us pick more of these perks? So there is at least a little diversity. 3 is just not enough, 3 from each tree would be much better.

I also think the perks having positives and negatives is lame. Like i can get crit but i lose crit damage? Whats the point? I can get more damage to class abilities but i lose non class ability damage? So then i just run class abilities only. Its not a good way to go about this, its completely different from the rest of the game, and not in a good way. Systems like this never feel good, people dont want to hurt one aspect of their build to get another. Its not a good way to handle build choice in pvp.

If you gave us more simplified perks, that dont have negatives, it would be much better with a lot more meaningful choice involved. Its not like the bonuses are large anyway, and everything is already extremely simplified.

The last complaint ill list is the classes. Many of the classes feel super weak. Nightblade feels strongest. Templar feels alright. But the rest feel very mediocre, and really lack the kill potential of nightblade.

I really think with these improvements this could potentially be a good place for new pvp players to learn, and then either decide to stay long term or move on to gray host, IC, or the new pvp zone. I want it to succeed but its too boring as it is now, and too simplified. But with some adjustments i think it could serve that purpose well. And bringing new people to pvp can only be a good thing.

    The only thing that matters in vengeance is the size of your zerg.

    Veng really just needs to replace the perks and loadout bonuses with actual gear sets and passives like people are used to.

    I think PvE people are liking that there is no inventory management fiasco messing up their character as they enter pvp and they can jump right in.

    I would probably design it so Veng has its own stickerbook of sets that are designed to be performative. Make it so you can unlock these sets somehow, then use AP to gold em out and trait change the item sets in the stickerbook. Then you can just drag and drop pieces from the stickerbook onto your character which gets saved in the loadout so you can hop in and out of pvp/pve without messing up either build. Same goes for adding back in mundus, skills, etc.

    Really it seems like they just need to limit how many effects can trigger lag wise. Like when you light attack 40 different procs can go off (gear, passives, enchants, poisons, cp, etc.) I am not sure why they wasted the 2nd and 3rd test enabling achievements and a bunch of background systems that could simply be disabled in pvp entirely without anyone caring.

    BG MMR should NOT reset, zos sponsored smurfing is a terrible design choice.
    PvP needs more incentives, even simple potion mats or gold would be better than rewards for the worthy inventory bloat

    I'm updating now...and I realllllllllly hope i'm not forced to play vengeance. I want NOTHING to do with it.

    RAVENWATCH solves most of the issues. REMOVE CP FROM PVP
