New Base Game Access?

Are those of us without ESO+ getting access to more of the game? I saw posted in chat a few weeks ago that once Night Market goes live that we will have full access to Murkmire and The Deadlands and all associated minor zones attached to them. Any truth to this? If yes, will the access be permanent or just for the duration of the remainder of Season Zero? Will Southern Elswyr unlock, too?

Just wondering.

Night Market's accessible to everyone, it doesn't matter if you have an active ESO Plus subscription or have purchased the Premium Tome.

Only the Guilds and Glory DLCs (Imperial City, Orsinium, Thieves Guild & Dark Brotherhood) and Morrowind were fully moved into the Base Game, with Greymoor being moved later in the year. ZOS hasn't announced any plans for the other DLCs to receive the same treatment.

Year Zero DLC (Wrothgar, Hews Bane, Gold Coast, Imperial City) were recently made base game. Western Skyrim is supposed to become base game later this year due to story overlap with a new Skyrim zone being added to base game (all new content going forward will be base game). But I have heard absolutely nothing about any other older DLC being added to base game. I think it will likely come eventually, but they might be spacing it out to keep non-ESO+ players coming back every few months for new-to-them content.

I know some people thought the wording in the season pass/long-term plans announcement implied that more zones would become part of the base game over time, but I didn't watch the announcement and I can't remember the specifics.

But for now it's only certain zones, starting with the oldest releases. They might have just thought it looked odd that Vvardenfell was made a base game zone a while ago but older DLC wasn't, or it might be because the new quest lines they're bringing out later (which won't have new zones coming with them) are set in those areas, or it might be the start of a trend where over time more stuff is added to the base game. I think we'll just have to wait and see.

Something related to access to the Deadlands -- for people who don't own the Deadlands DLC, but have unlocked the Night's Den house from the Night Market -- does the game just tell them they can't leave their house? Does it just port them to their last wayshrine? How does that work?

Probably it will return you to the place where you were when you ported to the house.

I think that's how it works, for any house in a zone you don't have access to.

Which reminds me, I should unlock the Sunport inn room before my ESO+ expires in a few days.
