The Cake is a Lie! Not giving me any trade bars!

I used the cake and it didn't offer me any trade bars! This has happened two days in a row now!

The 2026 Anniversary Jubilee in-game event kicks off from April 2 at 10AM EDT and runs until April 15 at 10AM EDT

Don't know why you didn't get any bars yesterday but, unless you logged in early before the switch over, you wouldn't have got any today.

I can understand not getting them anymore as of today, but yeah, it was bugging out before today, and I should've gotten some that I'm sure that I missed out on.

Have to be aware of the reset (currently 6am EST).

You might have logged in earlier in the day, gotten the bars, logged out then went back to play perhaps later in the evening same day - you wouldn't get any bars that time because it wouldn't reset till 6am est the next day.

I have done that myself.

There has been a bug for several years regarding event ticket (now trade bar) drops around the time of reset. This bug was still active during the Anniversary Jubilee, and is still occurring during the Zeal of Zenithar, which is now on the PTS for U50.

I wrote the Event Tracker addon in 2019, so I've had a particular interest in Event Tickets (and now Trade Bars; I'm still maintaining the addon). In fact, I added a feature to my addon during Anniversary that would warn people if this bug triggered, that they hadn't gotten their Trade Bars. I'll trying to figure out how to add the warning for other events. (Cake is a unique drop method for Trade Bars.)

This triggers the bug for Anniversary event, and has for other "loot"-type events:

1. Get your Trade Bars just before daily reset.
2. Try to get Trade Bars again for the next day, right AFTER reset.

For cake/loot events: the bug clears about 30 minutes previous Trade Bars were acquired. Logging out or reloading does not seem to help.

For quest events: I believe that reloading is sufficient to clear the bug and allow new Trade Bars to be earned, but I'm not certain about that. My testing is currently limited to once per day, at 6am my time, and will end Monday. (Zeal of Zenithar is running on the PTS until then.)

Edited: Perhaps it's been fixed on PTS? It failed when I tested it Tuesday, but an hour ago, it worked correctly.

This bug was not always a problem. There was a time when we could sign on shortly before reset, get our daily Event Tickets just before, then stay on and get our Tickets again just after. I believe that was before the standardization of reset times, which was Update 37.
