Ok so we have tons of different types of items, so let's say we have an alinor fireplace. The size is perfect; the stones color is not. We have it set beside solitude stone (just an example) and the house is using solitude stone furnishings. Now what if we had a furnishing dye to change the 'stone' color and pattern of the alinor fireplace to that of the solitude stone color and pattern. I did some modding on skyrim so i know it's just a matter of changing the surface art link to something else, with a few adjustments. Having this as a Furnishing dye would give players a greater range of possibilities with what they already have. The Dyes can be gotten in many ways; coffer rewards, antiquities, achievement rewards; crown crate drops; endeavors; tradebars (when the market comes out). Make it like the current outfit dye section organized by material type wood, cloth, metal, stone, lighting, etc.

I rather wanted the ability to resize them, honestly. I don't know how things are on 3D models, but most regular images can be resampled up/down around 15-20% without losing many details

I'm quite good at genetics (as a subset of biology) because I am an expert (which I know is a tautology).
My xenoscience studies range from urban to agrarian, I am the very model of a Scientist Salarian.

from my experience in skyrim modding, resizing was hard, especially if it has a framework or skeleton. Surface is easy.

YES PLEASE!!! The only other mmo I play loyally is called Palia and they have furniture dyes... that you have to craft from farmed mats. They've released more over time (I'd imagine it takes quite some time to dye new furniture sets on the backend)- and the way that their FURNITURE works.... every piece has a "main" color and 2 accent colors, and each dye has all 3 built in like a themed set. THAT SAID YOU COULD TOTALLY use achievement dyes instead!! Can you *imagine* how cool it would be to have a fully golden house because you unlocked some baller dye?

11/10 would love this. Not sure if it's a realistic thing they could do (system capabilities) and how much intense work it would take to "redo" all the current furniture. You'd need a whole team just doing that. Sounds like a job opportunity?

Farmed mats. Crafting..... hmm i like that. Could call the wood furnishing stains. Cloth furnishing dyes (obviously). Metal furnishing... Alloys ??? What to call stone though....

I like the idea of farming for the mats, making it a little more difficult. Lets say it becomes a lead. Can purchase the leads from those sources i mentioned. Then you go and find the item, except instead of a treasure chest you find a unique mat required for the furnishing style. Lets say you have a lead, it leads you to a timber pile. You collect the timber and into your craft bag goes "high isle hardwood style" and a recipe. The recipe would call for 5 ironwood, 1 columbine, 2 alchemical resin, a blue woodworking upgrade mat, and one High Isle Hardwood style material. The result being 1 bottle of High isle hardwood stain. You then go to your house, hit F5 to open the furnishing inventory, select the wood furniture you want, and on bottom you would see an option to "apply stain". This opens a screen like the costume style dye page. You click on the wooden part or square for the stain to apply and it changes the wood to the high isle wood style. Click apply and close out. Then you can place that wooden furniture in your house.
