Will factions be like Cyrodiil?

You have to align yourself to a faction when you start. Does that mean you can, or cannot play/ group with with players from other factions? It seems there are faction-specific quests, but also common quests, which in theory you could do together.

You forgot having to pay 30$ each month for an alliance change when your friends are playing on a different faction. Or how about when your faction lock prevents you from playing the game for multiple weeks until the campaign ends even though you paid to swap factions.

BG MMR should NOT reset, zos sponsored smurfing is a terrible design choice.
PvP needs more incentives, even simple potion mats or gold would be better than rewards for the worthy inventory bloat

As I have no friends who play any PvP those kind of details escape me. All I want to know is if I can play with different factions in Night Market.

Yes, you can cross faction. The faction-specific quest seems to be the same quest as the other factions, just in a different order.

Pledging to a faction does not prevent grouping with and playing with other players. Your favor is added to the pool your faction earns and when Night Market ends, you will receive the Helm associated with your faction at a quality level determined by how well your faction did.

We very much did not want to limit who and how players can play with each other with the system while also rewarded players in some way. When the Night Market comes back, you will be able to choose a new faction and thus, at the end, receive that Helm.

Can only hope the new mid sized cyrodil mode follows the same design. Its silly to force players to pay 30$ to play with their friends for a 10 year old cyrodil alliance change token. By now so many people only play the game for nostalgia with friends, putting up hard walls that prevent people from playing together for weeks on end only hurts their chances of actually loggging in.

Cant tell you how many times the old cyrodil faction lock lead to people not coming back for a few months or quitting ESO all together, where they otherwise may have continued playing the game.

Itd be much better upon PvP campaign resets you require people to sign up for a faction each time.

What is the Helm that's mentioned, that you get at the end of the event? From the patch notes, I'm not sure whether that's the wing of the house or a bust or a piece of gear.
