What exactly drops perfected null arca in vet Lucent Citadel?

I got perfected ansuul's a long time ago and forgot what exactly dropped it. I thought all null arca pieces were going to be perfected in vet, but instead I ended up with 3 purple normal pieces. Can chests drop perfected gear? Are weapons and jewelry from the final boss only?
