I like this change... but it does pose some problems.
You shouldn't be able to dip out of the instance mid fight, it's the cowards way out and I'm glad they are addressing it.
The use of Imperial Retreat Sigils will return, which is the intended effect. HOWEVER, These only work while out of combat. If it is intended for these to be the main escape mechanism, these simply will not operate as intended so long as the DECADE long "stuck in combat' bugs persist.
These need to be able to be used in combat - but interruptible, obviously.
Therefore they can't be used while actively fighting, but if you can break away and create distance, they should be a viable option. Double the channeling length if you want to mitigate how easily this can be done, but you should not be gatekept from using these because a nightblade light attacked you three districts ago....... Like c'mon - do better!
It just makes sense. I'm not asking to fix the stuck in combat bug, we have accepted that it is a part of the game that is not fixable at this point -- but the devs need to recognize that this is a huge pain point that needs addressed and could easily be alleviated by the above proposed functions of the Sigil Of Imperial Retreat.
I think this is a great compromise, and it needs addressed.
