I think u can see the passion inside him, that i havent seen from rich or wheeler for a very long time. to be honest im basing this off, not alot of info. There is just something about him that i want to trust. and i cant say that about anyone else for a very long time.

I actually found his pronunciation of ESO quite endearing. As a Michigander, I don’t pronounce most things correctly anyway, so I don’t judge.

    Here's to eeso!

Susan Kath seems solid too. I didn't really mind rich Lambert and Matt Firor but the new management seems to be on a good trajectory. Game's been stagnating too long.

Of course the risk of communicating development stages that may never come to pass holds the risk of players building expectations go unment with corresponding disappointment.

The devs letting us know of maybes puts it on us to manage expectations, but this is refreshing.

I also like Nick and Susan a lot. But both were very much present when the decision to implement subclassing in its current form was made. It's not clear whose brainchild that was, and we will probably never know. It was such a bad game design decision that ZOS has lost all benefit of doubt from my perspective. I'm very much in wait and see mode. But it's also true that I relate much more to Susan and Nick, and I feel like they have more passion for the game. Not fake hype "passion" like we had in the past. More like they at least do a good job of pretending that they actually play the game and understand its systems and pain points.

Susan and Nick both came off well to me but this was also something really obviously practiced and planned. I'm excited by what was showcased and they seem solid. But actions speak louder than words. Neither of them have had a chance to even really do anything yet. I wish them luck in saving ESO and they both seem nice. But I'll evaluate how I feel about how well they did after this year is over, personally.

Totally agree... both Nick and Susan... the new tone of the reveal stream they offered... the more professional attitude... all of it was very much appreciated from my perspective. I'm much more positive that the new management team knows and understands the various long-standing issues, and is at least aiming to head in the right direction.

Combined with the increased comms we're getting from Kevin, Finn, and the community team in general, it does seem (at least to me) that the shake-up at Microsoft (as painful to the individuals as it would have been) has at least given people with alternative viewpoints/skills some chance of improving the situation (and those that were perhaps a blocker the kick up the proverbial they deserved).

Obviously, ZOS have a lot to prove in 2026 given what's gone on before, but I am now somewhat more hopeful (at least it's better than the over-hyped/pr/spin/marketing sessions of yesteryear). So far, my first impressions are a good one. Now for the delivery...

Nick was fantastic! And so was Susan! Both were absolutely genuine and a complete breath of fresh air. Their enthusiasm and passion for ESO was the highlight of the reveal stream.
