ESO Housing Wishlist - going into 2026

I'd been keeping an ESO Housing Wishlist master post; shared with the Devs a few months ago:

It's a compilation of popular requests from the community: on the forums, reddit, in-game, discords, etc. Most are general rather than specific: features or items that would help a wide variety of builders, NOT just specific items individuals want. Occasionally updated.

Things like Weather Control and big landscaping items have been fantastically helpful! Thank you!

Hope to see more great features, improvements to major new features like Home Tours and tab-select, items, and fixes (*cough* like the Argonian Houseboat ladder and Stone-Next Gazebo *cough* xD) in 2026. I also hope to see meaningful adjustments to related systems like Leads from Treasure Maps. (Links just for reference & more info.)

We got some of them as furniture in the Carnaval pack, but not all. Those red Solitude tents would be lovely.

other wishes
- more Bosmer homes, specifically with water like a river, pond, waterfall.
None of the current Bosmer homes have access to water, even the new Chapel of Julianos which has water that we cannot access.

- more desks.
We did not get desks in the High isle, Necrom, and Colovian styles even though there are assets of them in their zones.

- portals/furniture that connects homes.
Could be actual magic portals, but carts or boats would work well too.
Or in the case of Fair Winds and Aldmeri Grotto,
Speecial Furnishings shaped like the ships that we can put at docks in our homes.

- more houses as furniture, such as Dock Shed and Druidic Hut
A little house from each zone style would be awesome.

- Let us align structural furnishings together?
It can be challenging putting doors into doorways or putting walls on floors precisely.

Some of the things I have wanted most are:

Mushroom barrels for crafting areas
Furnishing plants for housing gardens with both food items like corn, tomatoes, lettuce, etc. and flowering plants (not harvestable) and of course we would need dirt and stakes
Archery targets, straw target dummies, and weapon racks, and weapons to hang on walls like shields and swords
That round sharpening stone for swords I see in crafting areas and the spinning wheels for thread
These items are already in the game.

As I mentioned previously in another thread, we also need complete sets of structural furnishings for each style instead of the few pieces we currently have. There are also older styles that we have only a few items like Redguard.

I would also like a way to enter a creative mode within my houses where I could have access to all housing items to design and build and get a tally of how many materials I would need to build it, it does not need a save feature though that would be great if it did for project purposes. I know this is a big wish but having a sandbox to decorate without creating expensive furnishings that might not work would be a big motivator for me personally and perhaps others who are not into housing currently. We all know how costly this activity is for us. I know there is the PTS for PC players but console does not have this.

Two features that would make me happy for the entirety of 2026..

Snap To for placing furnishings.

And adding Search to the crafting stations that can search all stations globally. Both in the form of a search field, and filter toggles. Seriously... with the massive number of furnishing plans to manage today, how is this not already a thing?

My biggest wish is to assign Emotes to Houseguests at Nodes, and also a way to have the Houseguests use interactable furnishings like chairs!

Occasionally other players' suggestions improve upon ideas! For example, Re: the "collectible, 1-slot “Crafting Rotunda”" I suggested in the list, another houser (Crimson!) mentioned wanting an all-discipline crafting assistant: 1 stop to craft any item. Basically the same idea: instead of multiple slots spent on stations, condense crafting into 1 collectible slot. But an assistant is a potentially better way of solving the same problem since it would be accessible everywhere, not only in Housing.
