So I had 873,438 and I did another quest, I gained 954,778. That is 81,340, what is this 20,263? Is this an add-on?

Yeah it shows the xp scroll, the add-on is info panel. I guess the author is lacking on updating it. Most of the time it works perfect hence the article. Thanks

    Ok ESO/ZOS DO NOT DELETE!

There is a problem with the XP scrolls. I started out gaining 81K even over 100K XP but as I go through the quest I get less and less XP. It will settle around 26k-27k XP per quest. WHAT`S UP WITH THIS! @ZOS_Kevin

OMG, 3k CP - which is probably a couple of thousands of hours in the game - doesn't know how experience works. *FACEPALM*

How you have permanent 100% experience bonus, and you gained 15793 according to addon, which means you would normally receive 7897 EXP. With scroll you now at 100+150=250% bonus, 7897*2.5=19743 - about right (should be 20263, but you probably have some bonuses on top of it, IDK, calculate it precisely yourself). So, it is NOT multiplicative.

    Now, about 80k EXP:
    https://www.reddit.com/r/elderscrollsonline/comments/6n3z40/how_does_the_enlightenment_bonus_work/

Enlightenment = x4 EXP bonus (up to 400k/day), so you got 20263 EXP, which is actualy ~80k with enlightenment.

    Mystery solved!

81k for a quest turn-in requires enlightenment — and that particular figure of 81k sounds very much like 4x the 20,263 gain in your screenshots (where you had no enlightenment).

20,263 is what you’d get for an “easy/low xp” quest at level 50 with +100% xp from the event, +150% xp from the scroll, +10% xp from your ESO+, and +1% from your Altmer’s racial bonus:

    7485 (normal xp value at level 50) x 0.75 (easy/low xp multiplier) = 5613.75

    5613 x 3.61 (add your bonuses to the base 100%) = 20,262.93

I may be off on the rounding/truncation.

The multiplier depends on the particular quest you do, as there are five different value categories for quests in terms of xp rewards, ranging from “very high” to “very low.” We/ZOS need to know which specific quests got you how much xp to verify if they are giving the right reward.

At level 50 (CP is irrelevant), a “very high xp” quest (like a master writ) has a value of 2.25x the normal xp value of 7485, or 16,841(.25). Your individual xp bonuses for quests then get added together and multiplied against the 16,841, for 16841 x 3.61 = ~60,796. That should be your max possible quest reward with your current bonuses without enlightenment. (That’s why I said above that you must have had enlightenment to reach your 81k+.)

A “very low xp” quest would give 7485 x 0.1 (very low multiplier) x 3.61 (your bonuses) = ~2700, if truncated as above.

Your 26-27k figure is likely from a “normal xp” quest, which has a multiplier of 1:

    7485 x 1 x 3.61 = 27,020.85

Doing that enlightened would get you over 100k, which you also mentioned in a prior post.

All five xp reward levels, with your +261% total bonus setup (fully enlightened values in parentheses):

Very low xp quest: ~2,700 (~10,800)
    Low xp quest: ~20,263 (~81,052)
    Normal xp quest: ~27,021 (~108,084)
    High xp quest: ~40,529 (~162,116)
Very high xp quest: ~60,796 (~243,184)

If you can add which specific quests got you which specific amounts of xp, that can be replicated and checked for any potential errors. Without that information, it looks like the values you cited could match the expected values for doing quests of different xp reward levels with your current bonuses, some with and some without enlightenment.

it doesnt matter if your cp 10 or cp 3000, the xp gain rates are the same

the only difference is how much xp it requires to make it to the next cp

Khajiit regrets to say that your math is wrong. for a quest worth 7897, 100% adds anotber 7897 for a total of 15793, as you said. However, 150% bonus alone adds 7897 + 3948 to 7897 for total of 19743. 250% bonus, which is event plus 150 scroll, should be 7897 +7897 + 3948 = 19743 added to base 7897, for total of 27640.

That is not true(that cp is irrelevant), in Khajiit's experience leveling a 2nd account recently. Apparently regardless of quest or exp bonuses, the gain you may receive (at least in sofar as master writs were concerned) is capped at half of what is required to gain another cp. This one started a thread about it, with a video of exp fly-by text as he gained cp turning in sealed writs some time back.

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/678275/sealed-writ-exp-scaled-for-low-cp-characters-was-double-exp-seems-to-not-be-being-applied

EDIT: of course, this does not apply here since the limitation only manifests at low cp levels (below 440 or thereabouts)

I didn't say "CP is irrelevant." I didn't even say "At level 50 CP is irrelevant." The remaining 80% of the sentence does matter here.

I said: "At level 50 (CP is irrelevant), a “very high xp” quest (like a master writ) has a value of 2.25x the normal xp value of 7485, or 16,841(.25)." (emphasis mine) For the purposes of calculating the value of a quest - which is not the same as the actual xp received/gained/awarded - CP is irrelevant. I specifically noted the "value" of the quest and not the "amount received/gained/awarded" because of that thread you mentioned, which I do recall participating in.

In New World or Fallout, or other games with relatively low gold caps (their equivalent of gold, at least), if you sell something for 20k but are 10k away from gold cap, you only receive 10k from the sale. That doesn't change the value of the item. It changes how much you were awarded from the sale. So too with quest value - you do not receive the full value of the quest if you get artificially capped. That doesn't stop the value itself from being calculable - where yes, CP is indeed irrelevant.

Since you had New Life quest steps in your CSAs in your recent screenshot, I turned in Mud Ball Merriment fully enlightened with all your bonuses except the 1% racial bonus:

    nk8tru30l4zr.jpg

These quests are considered "easy/low xp," so they get a modifier of 0.75x:

    7485 (level 50 base xp) x 0.75 (easy/low xp modifier) = 5613.75

    5613 x 3.6 (my bonuses) = 20,206.8

    20207 x 4 (enlightenment) = 80,828

With the racial bonus it should have been 81,052 (meaning 20,263 without enlightenment).

To clarify: you got that 81k without enlightenment? Even though the max possible xp from a quest without enlightenment is about 65k?

You are right, I wanted to say 27k, "It will settle around 26k-27k XP per quest.", but got distracted :D With 250% bonus you should receive x3.5 more than base EXP, 7897 * 3.5 = 27639.5 for sure. Thanks!

Btw, I would also point out on this:
