Subclass vs Pure Class and Other Stuff

I am sure everyone will have their opinion but mine is do away with the class skill lines, class passives, and racial passive system and let us pick and choose what we want. The Weapon, Armor, World, Guild, systems can remain unchanged if you like.

Yes there is the potential for dps to go through the roof but so what. There is the potential to have an almost an immortal tank but so what. There is the potential to have almost the perfect healer but so what. Like everything in this game, after people complain enough about this skill or that or this passive or that or this gear set or that or what have you, it will get nerfed.

I personally wish they would buff Oakensoul ring to make it more viable again especially in vCR with Relequen or just allow us to swap bars with that mythic but both bars must be setup exactly the same. Why not make Oakensoul dps output be higher to compete with other builds? I know, so many people will complain about the Oakensoul ring and how unfair it is or how worthless it is or everyone will use it or this or that but so what. People may like to do trials but due to hand/wrist mobility issues they are excluded. Why is that those who like to mash buttons think their style of game play is the only one? Before those who speak up and say you offer nothing to the group, that is not a dps's job in this game unless you are a support role. The game has been setup to pump out as much dps as possible and an Oakensoul ring can do that if allowed.

I use Oakensoul builds nearly exclusively because I enjoy them and I still mash at 3 if not 5 buttons. I also have stuff on the backbar that provide support that Oakensoul does not have. I like the HA builds and see it being no different than the Arc beam builds. Groups are ready to take Arc beam builds but hate Oakensoul builds. If people are so concerned about the abuse of the Oakensoul ring and how everyone will use that Mythic, then at least there should be more skills that provide a constant buff no matter what bar you are on to provide the same benefits that Oakensoul ring does so bar swapping is optional and people can do HA attacks.

I think they should make people less reliant on 1 single mythic personally but I like ur idea of making it so we can swap bars as long as the skills are the same (for those who wanna do vCR on oakie)

Oakensoul looks better than it is, DPS should not have access to the healing and defensive buffs and the DPS buffs get mostly covered in a group (especially in a trial). If you want to do cloudrest, use a different mythic like Rakkhat. Bar buffers (aka skills that you do not cast but gives you buffs on either bar) on backbar. When overload is going out, do what everyone else has to do and swap to backbar to anticipate the curse then swap to frontbar once your backbar is cursed and continue on as normal.

If empower is the problem— since oakensoul is the only way of getting 100% empower uptime that I know of— can get DK’s source of empower or can see about someone getting the necro skill that gives the group empower. ZOS should buff the mages guild empower passive length or give empower as a buff on banner, I would be in support of that.
