Companion mount is reset every time I log in

Every time I switch between characters and hop on my mount, I see that my companion gets on their default mount, even when I've made sure that Sharp is supposed to mount the Pestilent Guar, Isobel has her Dwarven War Horse, and Azandar gets to ride a Nascent Indrik, but no matter how many times I set their preferred mount to the aforementioned ones, they still hop on a standard horse. Terribly frustrating and I don't know how this happened, but it started two days ago, both on PC NA and EU. Minor inconvenience, but annoying enough to start a topic about it, and wonder if others experience the same nuisance.

I do notice my Companions have a tendency to reset their mounts, but I never went and studied what the cause was. But yes, I do notice every few days my Companion does get on the default horse.

I only have Companions unlocked on one character so it has nothing to do with summoning them on an alt, at least in my case.

Evidence that settings are not being saved to the server and/or possible data corruption. Such things can snowball very quickly. As such you should always report them, and they should always be treated as a major problem until investigated and cause determined.

Yes, it happens sometimes, I think, when I go out of the water on a mount with a companion.

Safest way. I've seen a few posts recently about things resetting when players log in.

It may happen to be that you entered this home - I own it and I reported the bug that cause your companion to go with default mount after entering it. If it affects other homes, I don't know.

noticed this as well using sharp. i had him on the ghost horse for halloween. at some point, he ended up on his black horse and i set him back. only time i've ever seen it. it may have been after i previewed hidden springs? i don't own it nor have i ever been in a non-preview version of it, but that may not matter. not a huge deal, but interesting. i was going to change him to something more wintry anyways

Interesting, I indeed bought Hiddenspring recently and naturally visited a couple of times.

This happened to me after I previewed Hidden Spring.

I just discovered that this also happened to me. I discovered if I enter Hidden Springs with Zerith-var summoned his mount changed to his default mount but if I unsummoned him before entering the house he got to keep the mount I had assigned him.
