Tabarad/guild heraldry customization without requirements

The tabards you can purchase by owning a guild or being a part of one are fairly limited, for you can only be a part of 5 guilds (only one heraldry you can customize yourself if you own a guild). For some quality of life additions I think that it would be a good option to have a purchasable empty templates for the tabard that you can customize yourself and buy as many that youd need.

Personally I like to lean towards more historical/realistic looks for my characters and the tabard can make a big difference in the looks of my character. At the moment there's just too few sources you can get them, let alone ones that look half decent.

And for those that think heraldry should only be possible through a guild, I'd like to know your reasoning why? Because most people using a tabard are part of a guild that you mostlikely have no idea about anyway and only use it to better their fashion.

There are still people use it as a matter of guild pride.

It is also one of the few ways to show your a member of a guild. And one of the few things you csn display in game that differentiates a guild from others.

I would love to be able to create custom tabards though using this mechanic. As the only way to use it really is to create your own guild and get 10 accounts to join, which is a hassle.

Yes and not to mention you can only create one tabard. On different characters you'd maybe want to use a different color scheme, but you can't do that now.

My big problem with tabards is that they only fit properly over base game armor. Every single other chest piece gets replaced by leather that’s usually brown or black and it can ruin the look.

i dont like them at all they have no texture to them and they ruin outfits id love to display my loreseeker tab without having to wear the tabbard i wish they could be hidden like helmets and shoulders while retaining the guild name above your head

That too. I have to wear a costume with my tabard because it doesn’t match my character lore.

Having an option to hide one isn't bad either. Zos should at least consider doing these types of cosmetic quality of life changes, since they shouldn't be difficult to do and it would give people an option to hide the tabard or turn it into a cosmetic piece, that can be customized freely.

Or at the very least the option to create an invisible tabard for your guild.
