Appearance of Zerit-var

I think there are two versions of standard Zerit-var appearances available and as I have unlocked in for the first time ever I probably missed the opportunity to have the appearance that I preferred as in the dialogue option it is not clear enough that it fixes it forever. I think this is not so good. The dialogue option should be much clearer that it fixes the appearance and it should be reversable. Now I am stuck with a Zerit-var version while I wanted another...

Perhaps you mean this dialog in his very first quest when he put his armor on.
You changed out of your rags. Where did you get that armor?
"I did not pull it from the bones of my fallen brothers and sisters, if that is your concern. I found a cache of supplies and saw fit to equip myself.
But I do not wish to stick out like a broken claw in my travels. What do you think of it?"
It looks good. You'll fit right in.
"Var, var! Such kind words. Function is more important, of course, but what Khajiit does not like to present a sleek and pleasing form?
This is not quite what we wore during my order's time, but it will do well enough to protect me."
I think we could find you something better to wear.
"Ah, I was afraid you would say that. I suppose it must appear antiquated. But it will serve well enough for now.
When we find the time, perhaps you can assist me in finding armor more appropriate to this era."

I can confirm that your choice will not change nothing, Zerith appearance will be the same, it is just RP option.

He can wear any style or costume you know, so I presume you have seen something in the head area, where you don't get any options? If so, let us know.

I wish we could make Zerith look "normal" again. I really hate those glowing eyes, even if they make sense lore-wise...

Isn't there a version where he wears a robe rather than the armor? At least I see it frequently. And it also looks as if Zerit-var has a different hair dress?

If you mean this, then that version appears during A Moonlit Shadow. You see him following other players that are doing the same quest.

Isn't this just his default armor style in light? I don't recognize it but I'm not sure I've ever put light armor on Zerith. All the companion default styles have different looks depending on whether they're wearing light, medium or heavy armor.

Exactly this. It's his light armor.

Companions will alter their appearance based on whether they're wearing light, medium, or heavy armor, what costume you equip them with, and how you design their outfits. However, during a companion's initial quest, they have a static appearance. Zerith's appearance during his first quest is just how he looks in heavy armor, except that he has light breeches on rather than the heavy greaves he starts with. He wears Moongrave Fane style armor.

The armored model for Zerith also seems to be missing his wrinkles, though these are on his companion model.

The dialogue options about his armor are just expressing whether you like his new duds or not. You can always change his outfit later.
