(Xbox) Text Chat not working after some time playing.

Greetings fellow players,

is anyone else affected by this bug?
Like, I can use the in-game text without any issue, but after some time playing ESO, it doesn't work at all anymore.
I can open the text chat, but I can't type anything in, not with the in-game keyboard, nor with my physical keyboard that is plugged in my Xbox, but outside of ESO, using the keyboard works fine.
A relog to the main menu doesn't help, I have to restart the hole game for text chat to work again.

And.. this is so annoying if you can't communicate with other players in an dungeon, trial or whatever.
Even worse, I've got this problem since 2018 and it is still.. present?

    Ive recently plugged in a keyboard and this is happening to me...Thought it might be an addon bug but now i see how old this post is.

    Did you manage to fix it or get around it?

    Kinda late response lol..

    But nope, no fix or getting around.
    My fix that worked before U48 was removing the usb transmiter and plug it in again, but after U48 it's not working anymore.

    Now the only known fix is to restart the game, really fun mid dungeon/trial and you can't say a single thing.

    Would be worth inlcuding the make and model. As this doesn't seem to be a widespread issue it may be that your particular keyboard isn't properly supported.

    Borrow a wired keyboard and see if it still happens.

    I really doubt it.
    Tested this now with 3x different keyboards and the issue always came back.
    Two keyboards were also tested for a long time on my PC and there was never an issue.

    This only happens in ESO as well, if it were a keyboard issue, the xbox popup keyboard would also stop working outside of the game, but it does not.

    Hey @ZOS_Kevin this has been a long standing bug. It's very easy to reproduce. You plug in a keyboard and at least on a german keyboard you press something like "alt + q "for the @ and afterwards you won't be able to type anything in game anymore. There are certain keys the game doesn't like for some reason, which makes it fail to open the on screen keyboard too.

    It's not an Xbox bug though, because you don't have to restart your xbox to make it work again, restarting the game is enough.
