This is actually a shockingly easy thing to do for text. They simply have to add a language file and an additional code to pick up the desired language.
It's the voiceover that would be the time consuming and expensive part. There is a LOT of dialogue.

Yeah, personally I think just having subtitles could be enough, but asking someone to read in 2025/2026 is unrealistic... Wait, nevermind, asking someone to maintain attention on a vocal dialogue is unrealistic just as much - we're cooked!

Technically it would be possible for an addon to at least have any language for the UI, but not dialogue/names. Though that would require someone translating ~20,000 lines of text.

Uh, why not fix the game and start listening to the current players' feedback for game improvements so that people will have the incentive to come back? Why include an additional language?

Agreed! Though I would love for the game to support multiple VO languages(including my own), this would be a major cost. Too major.Nemesis7884 wrote: »I dont agree, subtitles fine but anything beyond english voice over I think is a huge waste of resources that is better spent on more content and quality control
Only two MMO's are fully VO (ESO is one of them). All other MMO's are only main quest line and/or repeatable lines having VO. The reality is that having VO is just too expensive for MMO's, even for only the english language. (Maybe AI will change this at some point in the future.)Getsugatenso wrote: »Getsugatenso wrote: »I was thinking that with the decrease in ESO players, in addition to the difficulty options for the open world, which is something I really hope you bring to the game, you should bring more languages to the game, such as Portuguese. because all major current MMOs support multiple languages.

Why not have the UI and all text easily translatable? This does not affect the game's performance..
Text translations would be completely fine though, but probably quite treacherous when it comes to items and combat relevant stuff.
